Had 3 bridesmaids drop out and replaced with even more random people. Lost their priest 3 times apparently. No open bar. Spaghetti or chicken for dinner. Brides dad already forgot the rings. And I give it a year before they're divorced and saying hateful things on Facebook.

Really can't stand when my girlfriend says yes to these things. Her heart is in the right place, but nothing positive will come from this.

Damn millennials and their newfangled youtubes. hahaha. It's a trinity knot. I use to do different knots almost every day when I worked at a lawfirm. Just taught myself how to do different styles throughout the years. I don't get to do them much anymore, so I went with something that is also a fun conversation starter.

That is called the "trinity" knot? It looks more like the Drunken Dyslexic Blind Sailor knot...

Stick with the four-in-hand or half-Windsor for best results.

I still don't know how to tie a tie. I tied one once and I have since left it tied for when I need to wear one. :ugh2:

My favorite knot for solid colored ties is the Eldredge knot :)

For stripes, I pretty much always prefer half-Windsors. With thick stripes, though, the Trinity looks like either an umbrella or a delta, so it's kind of cool when that happens.

So the girlfriend had a bad experience over a decade ago eating eggplant. I guess whoever made it for her used wicked thick slices that were sour and horribly seasoned. I rectified that last night and she has a new found love of the the vegetable.

I thinly sliced (1/8th") a eggplant. Patted dry to remove as much excess water as possible. Dipped in egg followed by panko breadcrumbs heavily seasoned with oregano, onion, garlic, and whatever else I saw fitting out of my spice rack. Set oil temp to 300F and lightly fried until golden brown. Drained and placed in shallow baking **** with marinara and mozz cheese. Broiled for 1 minute.

Her face lit up like a xmas tree. The eggplant was crisp and packed with flavor. The sauce added some needed acidity and the cheese gave the crunhyness a better texture.

Next time, I want to make eggplant caprese. Haven't made a balsamic reduction in forever.

Finally got around to installing the AAM S-line midpipe and resonated short tails yesterday. Today got the windows tinted. Next up is the Gen 3s. Hopefully in about a month.

Let me know how you like that setup! I think I have (at least one of) the loudest Z's in the US (or at least Texas) :p I've always thought that the midpipe+short tails would be a good setup, too.

Water at the coast is apparently a little deep (inshore). Guide just called to let us know that sight fishing for redfish has been particularly difficult lately. I think we are going to have to postpone our trip until next month. Hopefully that will make for a better experience

 Really should go to Florida for tarpon, but we can find them a lot closer in Louisiana - I should look into that. Redfish is more or less my first step into fly fishing for anything other than bass. I'm going fly fishing for bonefish in Oahu in January, too :D

Locally, my buddy and I are going to start trying for carp (much more challenging). And there are some trout in the streams during the 1-2 months of winter we have here in central Texas, so might have to try them as well.

Much like Santa, I have distributed your gift of reps! To the very good have been given more. To those who cannot tie a tie have been given less!

;)
