How so? Diminishing returns are encountered quickly, especially when the weight of the vehicle is a consideration, such as in a sports car.

What did he say as far as why it's unnecessary?

No thanks. I moved to flickr. Gives my laptop less aids and is honestly way easier than navigating PB.

Leingod 08-03-2017 07:44 AM

A little backstory. The head of operations was the original IT guy here. He was then the CFO and is now head of operations here.

We have been having email issues all week due to migrations of servers. One of the operations guys wasn't getting emails. He is also out of vacation. So we get him emails on his desktop and everything is done.

Just got another email this morning from head of operations stating it is still not fixed. He copied the CEO, head of HR and other high level people on the email basically blaming us for not telling him everything that is going on.

The guy doesn't work in IT anymore!! Go worry about your own damn department!! Throw me under the bus because your guy is on vacation and his iPhone isn't getting faking emails. People truly are retards..

Still to much work. hahahaha. They completely lost me as a user when they pulled that crap. I could care less if the site goes under now.

How are we already past 7k for this thread. Sheesh

Leingod 08-03-2017 09:18 AM

Just got a txt from one of the IT guys in Portugal telling me I am more appreciated over where they are for the help and courteousness of my actions than I am here by someone outside of the department.

Made this day a little better.

Because you'll get sufficient performance from the product without the need for full coverage on just about any panel you would encounter in a vehicle. Once you get to a certain point you are just adding unnecessary weight to your vehicle with negligible increase in vibration reduction. If that point is not sufficient noise reduction for you, the next step is to add as much CCF as you can fit/afford. This is where you will really start to notice noise reduction because the stuff actually interferes with the sound waves to reduce decibel levels.

I'm sure you know all this stuff. You're a car audio guy. To be clear, I don't think I ever said dynamat was entirely unnecessary - just that full coverage of the stuff on most panels is unnecessary. If your car is already mostly vibration-free, then very minimal dynamat is necessary. I'd imagine most people would probably feel that more is needed in the Z than the average car. I did my hatch in its entirety; I think I could have achieved essentially the same results with 1/4 of the product strategically placed in the hatch. That amount I used in the hatch should have been enough to do the entire car.

Reps out for Harambe.

Anyone have a suggestion for picking up empty boxes of assorted sized? I have like a zillion things I need to ship out to forum members.

Also suggestions where I can just buy boxes for cheap.

I have a collection of boxes. My wife hated them until we had to start packing up kitchen stuff for a renovation :icon17:

Do you have any big box liquor stores around you like Specs or Total Wine (those are just the two I know)? Those guys usually have tons of boxes and don't mind sparing a few for a customer; I've seen them turn down people that just walked in. But if you make a purchase they probably won't care.

Otherwise, UPS or USPS or even U-Haul has lots of boxes - you just have to pay for them.

Doesn't the post office have those flat rate boxes? I stole a whole crate of the XL's once to move stuff.

Yeah! I actually grabbed some with the plan of using them, but if you do you MUST send them Priority at the flat rate price, which I was hoping to avoid for some of these items that dont weigh very much... back in the day I used to steal them and turn them inside out but they've wised up to that and started printing the cardboard on both sides.

But I just realized I could steal those boxes and then send them FEDEX.

Thanks for the tips!

:iagree: We office with a small firm that keeps a FedEx account. I used to make sure they ordered various boxes we needed for shipping since they get free supplies. Then we'd use Lonestar or USPS to ship at much cheaper rates.

Passenger on a road trip to Toronto means I can add reps (fack just checked and I cant yet) and enjoy this nice weather :) Hope to see some nice Z's enroute.

Why is it that when I find a golf ball I like they stop making it....

Callaway Superhot 55's. I don't like the 70's. Compression is different and feels worse at short shots.

$780 for at least 5 years??? NOT WORTH IT :icon14: Luckily mine's all paid for, but geeeeez there's no way in hell I'd even consider a Z if it was gonna be a $780/mo commitment for half a decade.....

As am I and for 5 years. But i am doubling up on payments. I only did 5 years since interest was lower when they offered it. I'll have mine paid off by next year at the rate I am going.

I could understand if someone has a 1k payment on a lambo or porsche. But not a freaking Nissan.

I could total this one, get a second one, and I'd still be better off than he is

5 year loans on a new car is stretching it in my opinion. $780/month better be a $0 down, 0% APR deal on a new car.

If you're buying new, you better have cash on hand. No way would I ever take out a loan on a brand new car.

I somehow got 1.6% on mine when it went to 5 years. 3 years was 5% for whatever reason. I put down 40% on a used 09 and will just pay off the rest. Promotion at work means I am now doubling down on payments. Pay it off, sell it, buy whatever new thing Nissan decides to make in the future.
