How is the new job working out?

It's OK. I'm still adjusting. Shifting from traveling and consulting to industry and office 5 days a week is rough. But on the flip side I get to come home every night and have a life during the week. Also work less hours. Pros and cons of each.

Ha! Oddly enough there are days where I miss flying and hotel life. I will especially miss all my elite statuses once they expire.

Going to the office 5 days a week is brutal. I need some flex work time back in my life.

My wife was pushing for me to change back to industry because the travel always made her nervous and she was "tired of being a single parent during the week". We have a bunch of destination weddings to attend this year and I told her that I'm going to eventually run out of points and status with airline and hotels and her response "Wait.....you mean we have to travel like riff raff?"
