I am hoping to get it done for under $600. Mind that is only the water cooling aspect. The case was $250 and I am moving all my hardware from the case it is in now to the new one. I MIGHT bite the bullet and order a Samsung M.2 SSD drive in the TB range. That will up the bottom line, a lot.

In reality my $600 budget will end up just over a grand.

I demoted my old gaming rig to being a media server. I7-920, 8 GB G.skill ripjaw ram. It was stout little machine. Lasted 8 years or so with only one gpu upgrade.
Now the $35 raspberry Pi is the server and old rig is doing nothing, sadly.
