Me: Just hit it
CS: Excuse me?
Me: make a fist with your hand and hit it
CS: I'll break it!
Me: It's already broke. What else do you want?
CS: Alright.
Me: *Heard whack*. It worked, right?
CS: The line is gone and my monitor is normal!
Me: I know how to do my job

be careful though, I was joking around with some staff and said if you rip the wall mount out of the drywall we will be forced to buy you a bigger tv and mount for your break room. I laughed and they laughed, came back to 4 holes in the drywall and the tv mount laying on the ground

I laughed and said, now the part I didnt tell you was you get to explain what happened to my boss, I suggest going with "...we were working hard and not in the break room when the event happened, not sure how it fell off the wall by itself..."
