Pretty good. Slightly predictable but worth it.

ChaseZ 08-03-2016 10:06 PM

Added it to my list too for when I finish up watching The Strain on showmi.

ChaseZ 08-03-2016 10:08 PM

Firmware!

I wonder if the silly HU needs an update!? Worth checking. Rule something out of nothing else.

ChaseZ 08-03-2016 10:10 PM

Just noticed I've surpassed 1000 quality posts already :icon17:

Ok, yeah quality is subjective. Just like some people consider McDonald's good food! :rofl2:

Certainly can't hurt anything, well, shouldn't if you do it right :icon17:

Might want to try an actual USB stick though. Might make it go smoother.

Your own ninja editing wasn't slick enough to match wits with autocorrected goodness.

It's weird not having mod/admin powers on the forum. Easy to get used to that.

madwi 08-03-2016 10:44 PM

What to do for lunch? Suppose I will have to get out of my chair and go look what they have upstairs.

Try one episode now before it all gets spoiled. It's like an homage to every 80s cult movie made.

Little more specific would be nice :)

I have a bunch of stuff for the anesthesia machines that I need to get done before morning. Hopefully, within an hour or so I can have some time to chill out.

Hooked the hdmi port directly to my laptop and got some video going on! :happydance:

So, with that Apple hdmi/lightning to usb digital adapter the video should work on the HU.

Doesn't explain the darn camera but it's a good step.

Could be the camera is a dud too maybe

Not sounding too good. Sure the camera feed has a good connection? Which wire did you tap into for the reverse signal?

Had a third camera and tried it too. No dice.

Tapped right into the drivers side reverse light for the signal (IIRC it was green). And the signal is definitely working because it switches to camera view when I put it in reverse and overlays the grid. Just not getting image out of the camera.

The camera itself is powered from the same switched B+ as the HU

Grounded to the chassis in an existing spot.

Other than that it's just plugging in the yellow rca into the camera input on back of the HU. Basically foolproof - and I'm more than comfortable with audio system wiring etc. This should be child's play! :ugh:

Got the pc screen to mirror on it too, for what that's worth

Sounds like everything is in proper order. That is a bummer.
