How hard is it to pull the pillar off? I read you might break some tabs that hold it on in he process and it wont fit correctly afterwards.

one clip and then rotate plastic piece 90 and pull towards center of car and up. all done.

here's a snap i took a few weeks back. u can see where the tab is located. use an interior tool and pull the very top of the finisher towards the center of the car.

then take a long (quite long) nose pliers and twist the plastic tab. it's there so when the airbag deploys the finisher dont it ur face. :icon17:

kenchan 06-26-2016 11:38 AM

well u do wan to twist it counter clock wise facing the car from the front while turning your head 180 so da ur are actually facing north, but just to be sure use a mirror so dat it dont confuse u.

I just cleaned my garage and basement. No car parts in there just the yard stuff we are leaving behind. But it looks pretty and neat!

Masterbeatty 06-26-2016 01:01 PM

I also just finished painting the last of the trim that i couldn't get because of our big a$$ bed. I am now pooped and still have half of my list to complete.

Masterbeatty 06-26-2016 01:07 PM

Also this am we had a dude come out and give us a free quote on central air. Holy Smokes its expensive!

The easy part is our down stairs and the expensive part is getting the air up and back from up stairs. Then boxing in the duct work. The price was $17k and it takes a 2 weeks to install. So add that ontop of finishing the basement I'm looking at close to $40k in upgrades. So if this were to be done when we come back i would need to save at a min $800 a month. I guess no car parts for awhile.

I was reading and thinking "what's wrong with shifting into N when coming to a light?". Then saw your 40-45mph...

40-60mph stops are the best! Blip the throttle and downshift. You slow down and get to hear the sounds of angels. Win/Win!

I'll only shift into N when coming to a stop when in the city and I know the light is ridiculously long.
