Apparently, there was a new radiator, fans and hoses install in the 240Z when I was in Arkansas this week...

Another rain day. This is getting old.
Want some nice Z weather

madwi 07-15-2016 09:17 AM

Stay home and work on the Z or go to the cottage and relax but no Z because of dirt road.
Decisions, decisions.

Rep Freely and Often

JARblue 07-15-2016 09:36 AM

Insurance adjuster wrote me a check for $3700 for the undercarriage damage

Undershroud, engine cradle, catalytic converter, gas tank, rear suspension bits, and exhaust. Repairs will begin mid-August probably

I'll have to snag a pic of the "driveway" at the cottage. No way the Z is going on it without tearing the entire underside off the car :icon17:

Plumber coming today so sticking around home.
And being a cold rainy day working in the garage sounds like a good idea. Think I'll tackle that RJM clutch..

With the front seat out, it is a pretty easy install  :driving:

That was my plan, but may be rethinking the pedal for today - or at least for the moment. I've got the new pup outside so he won't be in the plumbers way, and raining means he's in the garage with me. Laying on my back in the car with a super playful puppy jumping all over my stomach as I'm trying to work doesn't sound like the most fun thing to do. Hopefully the rain lets up soon and I can put him in the yard instead.

Don't want him jumping in the car either. He's not housebroken yet lol :icon14:

Most likely. But there's more work to be done, and they will cover 100% of the difference. There's one undershroud part he couldn't find, and I now that I look closer I don't see a line item for the cat. The final check was actually made out for $3100. It was less than I quoted earlier because of the $500 deductible that was applied. But I'm sure they'll end up writing another check in the end.

I'll be getting multiple quotes for the work, just to verify the pricing. And I have to get quotes for the new aftermarket items if they exceed the value of the OEM part like my Fast Intentions exhaust.

2016 Nismo front and rear bumpers on a Base?

I'm kinda digging these bumpers, and in MB the bit-over-the-top styling is more subdued. None of the red stripes though.

CZP is actually pretty darn reasonable for the OEM pieces. Don't think I'd do it right now, but putting together my winter projects list and collecting parts.

Also strongly considering Stillen supercharger. AAM TT was what I'd originally thought but thinking SC may be the better way to go for me, with a smaller pulley to correct for my 3800' altitude - and up for the mountain twisties :)

These garage days playing on the Internet can get expensive lol
