Yeaaaa.... not everyone is a wimp like you

I'm just going over everything mentally as a checklist for this weekend. Having never stored a car all winter is making me nervous.

these cars are meant to last, i just dont like seeing rust on the undercarriage.

one thing i HIGHLY recommend is to wash the engine bay very well each spring if u drive in the salt. i mean wash from the top, then take the bottom cover off and wash from the bottom too along with suspension bits. then rub the bare metals with a light coat of oil.

dat a lone will make ur car age so much less every year. my last dd i had for 4yrs, had barely any corrosion on the undercarriage. and rarely washed in the winter. carmax was quite impressed how great of a condition it was in.

I'll be sure to do that now. I have a local carwasher with those sprayer hose things that have an engine bay cleaner. $5 and clean the engine/under carriage.

Person; Dude, it's 20 degrees out!
Me: think of the salt!

i just use my firemen's nozzle in low stream. lol no fancy needed. people cry to cover all the electronics.. not needed. just dont go crazy spraying onto the alternator and intake tract.. plus on the Z the battery is already covered so very easy to do.

u'd want a raceramp to remove the bottom shroud though, to wash from the bottom. the cover does a good job keeping most of the salt out, but the block u can see salt powder on there.. not that it will eat through the block, but i hate seeing corroding engine blocks.

then i take my shopvac in blower mode and blow all the water off... then let dry for a good hr or so, or if in garage, i place my little fan on the engine bay area and let it blow dry for 4-5hrs.

Leaf blower from Amazon for $25 hahahaha. I do want a Henry the Hoover though. I really need to pull the trigger on those race ramps or make a cheap set of plywood with rhino ramps.

Time to pull out a pair of scissors and clear your view of the TV.

I plan on washing everything this weekend and following up with paint glaze, one step selant, and wax. I need to get her looking nice again since I had to drive mine in the horrible winter this year, (2 snow storms).
