painbody EW... faking sore all over due to un-mr.clifford situation

kenchan 03-13-2016 09:53 AM

detailing my STI kicked my arse... :ugh:

kenchan 03-13-2016 09:53 AM

going to finish off the car this am with Griot's SprayOn Wax to top off the sealant for the ultra beading :yum:

going to order up the PrimaHydroMax this am too.. im too lazy to be using the RO for applying wax and sealants.

kenchan 03-13-2016 09:57 AM

also ordered the meg's ultimate QD.. for removing bird crap while out in the sun. LOL

the only real QD for me is Speedshine. :icon17: but needs to be used in the shade..due to carnauba inside. polymers (meg's ultimate QD) are more resilient to hotter panels.

Leingod 03-13-2016 10:33 AM

To early in the day kernchan to fully appreciate all the slang terms for your detailing process.

kenchan 03-13-2016 11:05 AM

got done adding carnauba topping on my STI. :p now ready to move on out.. but one problem. STI looks better kinda dirty.. :rofl2:
at least now i wont have to worry about paint damage knowing the clear is protected.

hope to wash the engine bay and undercarriage in the coming weeks..

kenchan 03-13-2016 11:06 AM

also ordered up hydro max :woot: cant wait to try it.

carnauba is good stuff. i use it for the pop. my Z and G uses carnauba wax, but cars parked outdoors usually get my polymer treatment. since my G is now outdoors, going to remove the carnauba when it gets warmer and apply HydroMax. it's a sealant in a spray like Hydro, but thicker and supposedly even more durable. :D

been using pure carnauba for 5 years on the Nismo

its a lot of up keep and apply a coat every two weeks

its a soft wax and needs a lot of attention :iagree:

I need to give the Four Star **** wax a try as its a more protective auto wax with modified polymers and much more durable

kenchan 03-13-2016 02:28 PM

Carnauba is actually hard as rock. Depending on the emulsifier and the amount used determines how pure the wax is. This is why different brands have different chemistries for their waxes. If it washes off in 2 wks it probably has very little carnauba content and therefore needs more up keep with carnauba enhancers like the spray I used this am on top of my polymer. You can actually stack carnauba by spraying layers of Speedshine or SprayOn wax by griots after it cures. Carnauba to me has had better water beading properties while polymer has better sheeting properties. Depending on wat you want from ur clear protection.

have been using Mother Carnauba for five years straight, In the Spring time
the car is washed with Dawn dish soap to remove the build up of wax. The
Carnauba is then like you state layered on every two weeks. As the Pearl
White paint is approaching 6 years of age estimated its show car perfect
and the depth of the paint looks magnified. I do realize that the carnauba
only ever see's the clear coat itself. Thank you so much for clarifying this
topic today. Highly appreciated Mr Ken

Does mothers offer a professional line carnauba wax? That might be the quality you need mr.clifford. Off the shelf stuff is only decent at best as the intended user is usually people with little to no experience where easy to use is emphasized vs actual quality of the wax.

The sad part is dat Prima products are easier to use than consumer products with professional results. They just don't have the marketing power of big brands.

kenchan 03-13-2016 03:22 PM

I realized today dat Nissan abandoned my G35C... Her wiper refills are no longer available. :ugh:

So I need to go aftermarket now..

many years back while showing one of my sports cars at the SEMA show in
Las Vegas. I won a sponsorship from the Mother's Corporation. To my
belief they have no professional line for the carnauba wax. I will send a
inquiry to the Mother Corporation on Monday to get their feedback
Again appreciate your feedback Mr Ken

I never had pizza from Straw Hat, but my favorites were Cybelle's, Escape From New York, Tommaso's, Goat Hill, and The Front Room. Not even sure which of those are open any longer.

Also, I sure miss the burrito's from the Mission, too!

-Clifford :tiphat:

:hello:

kenchan 03-13-2016 05:57 PM

so ive been seeing a pattern in my upset stomach the last couple of months and i came to the sad realization dat it's my diet pepsi with the new sweetener being the culprit. :ugh:

aspartame was the reason why i liked the taste of diet pepsi over all soft drinks out there.. i dont know the exact date my local super market started selling the new sweetener (sucralose) version, but since last year ive noticed my icy diet pepsi on the rocks did not taste the same. :icon08: and when i consume larger amounts, i noticed i get upset stomach.

ive been doing a test study on myself the last 2 months, and i found that when i consume more than 2 cans a day, i start developing EW explosions... :ugh: sugar based soft drinks are no problem.

so today, after 8yrs of consuming the beverage as my favorite drink in very large volumes :yum: , i told my wife not to buy any more diet pepsi. :crying: it is on the do-not consume list along with alcohol, hagdaz, and m&m peanuts. :ugh2:
