On my track surface I use hard rubber compound. I don't use any tire sauce or traction compounds. foam on arsefart is good stuff.

R/C...

in the old day we used to use traction-compound + tire-warmer/carpet on rubber tires, nowadays, just the traction compound alone is good enough, thanks to the li-po battery, we can have an extra minute of warm-up before the 5mins qualify and still have more than enough juice to cross the line

when i was looking for the flooring material for my track i was originally planning to use Ozite carpet but then the amount of tire compound i had to keep using was insane, plus the tires start loosing grip after a while in the middle of the run. i hated the inconsistency. i decided to run more of a rubberized liner which acts like asphalt.

as u stated, with about a min's drive (with no tire compound) the tires warm up and grip very well given that i run the right compound. but only downside is that the tires wear and i have a lot of black tire dust which i need to vac on a weekly basis.
