I change the oil shortly before putting the car away, when I'm sure that I won't be getting the car out again I put a trickle charger on it, and when I get the car out in the spring I change the oil again and make sure the tires are up to 34 psi cold. That's about it.

Step one: Do that stuff
Step two: Don't worry about it

Last year I detailed it with paint glaze and wax. Filled up the tank and parked her in my garage. Then buried her behind my grill, snow blower and other superfolis B/S I acquired during the winter. I think I drove it twice when there was no salt and crap on the roads. But this year might be different since I might be moving to sunny san diego.

I've got to go clothes shopping... My wardrobe is lacking winter essentials.... like long sleeves and heavier cardigans. blarg....

I don't even wash mine, because I know when I get it out in the spring, it will be after the 2nd good hard rain (to get rid of the salt) and it will probably get rained on immediately while I am driving it. :icon17:

Dirty car gets dirtier: No problem.

Yup. Wouldn't shock me to see 8+ feet of snow again. I tossed all my winter clothes since they were getting old this previous season. I just hate clothes shopping. And I'm cheap when it comes to them. Looking on Amazon right now hahaha.

kenchan 09-24-2015 02:05 PM

JARblue 09-24-2015 03:05 PM

Noticed some issues with my alignment late yesterday and earlier today, so I went ahead and got an alignment this afternoon. Much better now :D :driving:

Leingod 09-24-2015 03:06 PM

You mean the Civic isn't suppose to drive straight while the steering wheel is held at 15 degrees left of center after a normal 2 years of driving??????????

Leingod 09-24-2015 03:07 PM

Screw you honda!!!! I'm not paying for an alignment on a lease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JARblue 09-24-2015 03:10 PM

:icon18:

We went three years on the Acura without doing anything except oil changes. 39 month old tires (bald), brake fluid, air filter, alignment. They told me not to do any of it lol. The final inspection noted one tire at 3/32 (I know for a fact they were all below 3/32) at $100, and hail and some body damage nearing $1000. Still under our $1500 allowance. No insurance claims needed :happydance:
