Our pizza crust experiment came out fantastic.

Gotta rake the leaves today.

The extra hour is coming in handy, though, so there is that.

The wife & I have been experimenting with homemade pizza - or as homemade as we can get it. We make the sauce, shred all the cheese (pre-shredded cheese from the store has cellulose and other crap in it to keep it from clumping up) and we use fresh herbs and so on.

Makig pizza is fun as a family activity. My mini likes to help me. We may do this next time. Also-a local very popular pizza place uses a ton of dried type mozzarella in their sauce. Like a LOT. You should try that sometime too. See if you like. They also have chicken pizza. Shredded. I dont know if I have ever seen that anywhere else. But its very good.

We cook something together every Saturday. We always have fun with it!

Great that you can enjoy that with the kids, too!

Speaking of pizza... I've been eating pizza here in Italy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the past 3 days. The pizza here tastes a lot different from American pizza.

Make sure you get a real margherita pizza ... not from one of the touristy sidewalk cafes. Find one of the local places tucked away. All the good ones I found required you to walk through a tunnel to get to the front door
