Have you tried third world problems? They are fairly easy to solve in a first world country

No food? Open the pantry.
No water? Turn on the faucet.

yah, after like the 20th or so bad luck in a row, i decided best to clam up for a while and hung tight to let the storm pass. i just waited mine out.

time worked in my favor, and my wife was there to help out.

Yea. I keep forgetting to ask. I've never stored a car for the winter. Any prep need to be done? Figured i'd just add a full tank of gas and cover it in storage. Do a full detailing and call it a season.

the minimum you want to do is full tank of gas and over inflate the tires to 45psi if at 50F or so. my garage is unheated and will dip to 10-15F in the coldest of days. that means psi will drop 3-4lbs.

i place my cars on flatstoppers and put stabil in the last tank, but this is not necessary. i also put covers on them.. oh yah, also DCon. dont need mice eating my rides..

I have read a lot of advice about this but with a modern car you don't really need to do much of anything.

I change the oil shortly before putting the car away, when I'm sure that I won't be getting the car out again I put a trickle charger on it, and when I get the car out in the spring I change the oil again and make sure the tires are up to 34 psi cold. That's about it.

Step one: Do that stuff
Step two: Don't worry about it

Last year I detailed it with paint glaze and wax. Filled up the tank and parked her in my garage. Then buried her behind my grill, snow blower and other superfolis B/S I acquired during the winter. I think I drove it twice when there was no salt and crap on the roads. But this year might be different since I might be moving to sunny san diego.
