Yep, this is why I put away my rides already. :D

Leingod 10-18-2015 08:55 AM

We've got a dusting of snow over night. I.... I feel it's only right to take the Z to an open lot.

kenchan 10-18-2015 08:55 AM

My ankle needs rest anyway.

Masterbeatty 10-18-2015 10:40 AM

I would still drive it till the first snow but I cross a 1.5 mile long bridge to work everyday. But rule of thumb if it's dry then it won't stick to the car. ( I just made that up right now).

I just love driving it. Plus this is the last time it will see winter for a few years.

as long as the salt is dry it does not corrode metal too bad. :)

Good afternoon all :tiphat: :hello:

JARblue 10-18-2015 03:20 PM

Tee time today was actually at the Lakes Course at Twin Lakes Golf Course, not Laurel Hill as I mentioned earlier. It was about 40 F throughout the round; I played in shorts ;)

We ended the round early due to frustration at the group ahead; we played the first nine in three hours :shakes head:

I shot a front nine 41; thankfully and due mostly to being able to use my father's incredibly nice Taylor Made clubs in lieu of the incredibly crappy rented set that was given to me

JARblue 10-18-2015 03:22 PM

Playing golf today in cold weather and seeing the number of forum members that are putting away their cars for the winter makes me glad that my Z is 10 degrees latitude south of me and safe in the garage awaiting my return :D :driving:

JARblue 10-18-2015 03:24 PM

Hi Ms BC! :hello:

Operation Birthday Surprise went off pretty well. The exchange went something like this...

I offhandedly walked into the bedroom with the stack of boxes that were supposedly "guitar parts" and I said, "These are actually for you."

The reaction was something like this: :icon08:

"But you already got me something!" (Which I did, a new iPhone)

I told her I wanted her to get something on her actual birthday, but I know she hates surprises (which she said "I DO hate surprises!") and I said, "I think you love surprises, but you just hate not knowing what it is... So go ahead..."

I got the right t-shirt. Apparently she had tried to buy it again but could not find it... I spent about 3 hours paging through every damn t-shirt on amazon.com to find it.

I think she enjoyed her birthday. Mission accomplished.
