You too :hello:

Clutch pedal feels great! I might get help tomorrow to bleed the last bit of air from the system. I can do the bleed pretty well on my own now, but in my experience it's ideal to do the very last on/off bleed valve turn while the clutch system is pressurized and the pedal is held to the floor.

For now a little bit more :postwhore: and then bedtime so I can get up for fly fishing at 7 am

G'Night :hello:

:hello: sounds like fun, mr.gale!

mr.jar- good job fixing your clutch.

kenchan 08-22-2015 08:11 AM

so do i mod the vintage rc car to drive better, or do i keep it an old pos as it was in its original state? these first world problems give me headaches. :shakes head:

kenchan 08-22-2015 08:14 AM

my wife says i should keep it original and keep it as display.

but the issue is i have another new condition roller (chassis pre-built by another owner) coming to me later today for spare parts, in addition to about 500 already spent on this thing. :icon14:

GaleForce 08-22-2015 08:14 AM

Mr.Kenchan, the air suspension saved me big time driving downtown Toronto. Brutal roads, I would have lost or damaged my Varis kit without it.

This might interest you. I haven't payed attention to Honda for a few years so I'm not up to date with the vehicle line up, but I think this is a Honda Fit parked next to me.

My photo actually make his car look good. The paint is faded and full of swirls, and the rep Volks... Even the owner laughed that there were rep wheels parked next to the real deal. :inoutroflpuke:

kenchan 08-22-2015 08:16 AM

so i think im going to mod this thing to hell, and have spare parts ready to revert back to factory if i decide to go back to stock down the road. ok, goal is set, now the planning...

this is where will's dad and i separate completely.

i think that's a civic next to your ride? :D

Davey 08-22-2015 08:20 AM

:hello:

Good morning!

I took a nice long drive in the Z yesterday, unfortunately there was quite a bit of traffic for some of it, but I did get a chance to enjoy the car a bit.

Put just over 100 miles on it. I might go again today if I have a chance... :driving:

kenchan 08-22-2015 08:21 AM

now the planning... how to mod the vintage rc car to make it drive nice.. hummmmm...

i need to fabricate some bits from scratch. good thing is that it's over the gearbox so the extra weight can be used for traction.

Those are very nice. :iagree:

jpkirk 08-22-2015 12:55 PM

Just picked them up. The rears may have one or two autox events left in them but that's about it. I will replace the RE-11's with PSS on these wheels and put Bridgestone RE-71R's on the stock wheels for autox.

Found this thread on the lug nuts so I should be good to go.

Volk TE 37 SL lugs

Finished modding my vintage RC car .. took a while to fabricate, but now drives very nice. :D
Roller came in too, so I now have a whole chassis of spare parts. :woot:

Good morning from ABIA :hello:

Boarding first leg of our flight to Milwaukee in a few min :ugh2:

JARblue 08-23-2015 04:56 AM

Mr. Clifford, I know you are waiting on BBQ action pics. I do have some, and I promise to share. But it will have to wait until I return later this week. My apologies :tiphat:

JARblue 08-23-2015 05:00 AM

I test drove the Z yesterday. I could hardly wait for her to warm up so I could open up that throttle. As quick as it was, I managed to get in plenty of tire squealing. Clutch feels great! :driving:
