Galaxy line. What did you want to know?

XDA Developer. I've coded for it before.

I guess, is it worth it to buy one? Any real big negatives about it? I have been an Iphone user for a long time.

I am still using my 3 year old Galaxy S3 -- it has been bulletproof.

i went from android to iphone back to android and back to iphone... i won't be switching back to android. i like the iphone better. it crashes far less and is faster. android puts a bunch of unwanted apps on your phone that slow it down. to get rid of them you got to jail break the phone and then you lose the warranty on it.

My iphone 4s has been great for a long time. I am hesitant to go android to try something new but I do like the Android Auto features for using it with Pioneer headunit I am looking at. The Apple car play seems kinda clunky and requires all kinds of cables and crap.

On contract, it's decent for the price. Snapdragon 80x processor so it'll handle literally anything you throw at it. the one in my HTC is currently playing PSP games emulated to it without a single hiccup. The galaxy line is always solid construction even though it uses a lot of plastic.

Cons are that you can't replace the battery and will most likely drain a little quicker than you iPhone. And no expandable storage via MicroSD. Both of these are nothing new to you since you're coming from an iPhone.

Samsung has reallt decreased the amount of crapware on the phone, and rooting it will allow for far greater customization.

If you want something bigger, I'd hold out for the Galaxy Note Edge which should be out in Sept. Smaller, i'd go with the Galaxy Edge.

Other phones to consider are the HTC One M9 (phenominal camera) and the LG G4. I personally HATE LG, but I've been hearing insanly good things about it.

Also, check this site out. Compares everything on the market.

This is why I have an iPhone for my phone. I don't ask much of my phone. So when Android crashes like I've hacked it to hell and I haven't done anything except use my phone and message apps, I get a little frustrated. My parents pretty much have to turn off their brand new Samsung Galaxy 6 phones weekly to reset them or else they run like garbage or just freeze up altogether. It's actually quite terrible IMO.

But I have a Nexus 7 tablet that does far more than my work iPad.

 Good info. The M9 was also on my radar too.
