I ordered a K&N filter for my sons eclipse and it showed up missing the adapter that goes with it. They shipped it to me in the original K&N product

I ordered a K&N filter for my sons eclipse and it showed up missing the adapter that goes with it. They shipped it to me in the original K&N product box without putting into a real card board box. The product box is paper thin and wasn't even taped shut! I think the adapter probably fell of the box and into a mail truck somewhere. How does the US mail even accept a box that's not taped up? Venting over.. Ughh!
