<---------:ban: this guy right here.

Leingod 06-04-2015 07:37 AM

Saw 2 Subbies racing yesterday. A blue WRX and an older grey STI. I held back and launched with them to just follow. They both pulled away without a second thought. Serious respect to both of those cars and drivers for the work done. I wasn't even being walked. More like when my girlfriend flashes me when I'm not looking and is back to normal by the time I realize what has happened.

Time for lunch yet? I brought sushi

madwi 06-04-2015 08:58 AM

Car has been washed. Three times actually lol. Bugs were terrible and caked on the front. No more night driving for a while!
After I rest a bit I think a coat of 4 Star synthetic sealant then topped with collinite 476S wax.

What really is going to happen is I am going to put the car cover on it and save the paint protection until tomorrow :icon17:

Also have been using the Prima Nero on the interior, I have a gallon of 303 aerospace cleaner concentrate sitting here. Going to be demoted to tire duty. I hate shiny tires.

Will do. I 'll add it to my order  I was just re-upping some supplies.
I tossed a gallon of Hi-temp bug remover on accident this spring. I went looking for it and went WTF?!

Glad you are joking... you wouldnt believe the number of people using brillo pads, paper towels, toothbrushes and heaven knows what else to get bugs off.

Davey 06-04-2015 09:24 AM

Paper towels are OK as long as you have a little soap to lube it.

I use an old microfiber towel - actualy I just drape several wet ones across the front of the car, wait about 10 minutes, and everything comes right off (except the paint.)

madwi 06-04-2015 09:26 AM

MF is so cheap now for packs of 1 million that I don't even bother with paper towels. Turtle wax bug remover when I run into a flock of knats since I'm lazy and they're performing sacrificial rituals.

It doesn't surprise me. People can't even use a turn signal and you expect them to know how to clean a car?

Just put a lighter under the gas tank and I'm sure you can smoke crack off the hood.

For stubborn tar spots that need to be softened up a bit I will use a cheapy MF towel taped into place to keep it moist while the chems do their thing. As long as I am not wiping the paint with them.
I am really anal about what touches my paint lol. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
