when i did my zex kit LONG time ago the only thing i had to make was the floor for the nitrous tank in the trunk.

The Zex kit is really easy to wire up with their NMU unit. Its all pretty much right there in one small box. Run the main line to engine bay and boom, done. Probably bad choice of words there :icon17:

Sorry I should have been clearer.
This sits in the trunk next to the bottle and I have a plexiglass cover for the tray. like in the pic, the tray would sit under that plexiglass. I was wondering what to line the bottom and sides of tray with. I have a fuse block, distribution block, relay boards and the progressive controller to all house and I wanted to make it clean looking and all in one spot.

oh i see... hummm... i suppose interior matte spray would be my choice but since you have a CF theme going, check out the new 3D CF overlays. they look a tad more real than the dated DiNoc. :D

btw, nitrous tank + hot summer day = kaboom! :eekdance:

The pressure release valve I have doesnt operate like a normal burst disk. It lets out just enough to keep it under 1200 psi. this way it wont let out the whole fukn bottle at once and have to buy another burst disk and refill tank.

I have a hatred of that NMU box so I went the frankenstein route and pieced all the stuff I liked together. much bigger pain in the arse.. :rofl2:

kenchan 04-09-2015 02:43 PM

kenchan 04-09-2015 02:44 PM

I was talking to another member here from MI and he has a big mother bottle and pump station to fill his own. I found a decent pump station for about $700.
Also the guy who installed our carpet saw a bottle and ended up giving me a cell number of some guy here in town that fills bottles up too.

now dat's cool

kinda like me having these rc cars AND a impromptu track in the basement to drive them on. can't enjoy the hobby without having both.

kenchan 04-09-2015 02:50 PM

hell if i had a mother bottle nitrous, i would probably install one in my G... silent killer.

oh wait, that's EW.. :ugh:

They can be a pain to try and add other components. I think one of the guys here found the last 2 zex fuel pressure safety switches known to exist still. Progressive controllers don't work with it. Just doesnt play nice with others.

thats true, they have their own proprietary circuit so you cant really tweak it to your liking afterwards other than change the shot nozzles which is wat pretty much all kits have. lol

it's for those like me that wanted to install something easy and quick, and be done with it. :icon17: it was only a 50shot+ but it was a good gain.
