More sick of being asked by EVERY. SINGLE. FAMILY. MEMBER. to fix everyones computers for the 100th time. I started charging $40 an hr to anyone who needs my services. Cut down on stupid calls drastically. Unless it's my dad. He will never learn. :icon23:

I always threaten to charge family but never do. I'm not sure how it happened but I got roped into supporting 3 home offices for family. Started off as 1 printer/fax install :icon17:

Non-family members/friends are now referred to a guy at work who likes to do side jobs.

I made my GF order good tires for her Civic. She went to have them put on this morning and they're to big supposedly. They'll slide right off the guy told her. I'm willing to bet that her steelies for winter are a different dimension then stock.

I am great! Awesome weather today. I think it is almost time to head to Lowes and try to find some jack nuts for mounting the nitrous bottles in the trunk! I have made some final decisions on the route I want to take with it. Full steam ahead!

The pen part does, yeah. But I would never use that anyway. :ugh2:

Store them with the tip down. The paint near the tip will dry out, which will seal the rest. Next time you go to use it, put the tip in a plastic spoon and press hard to break the dried paint and then the paint comes out into the spoon and you can apply it with a tiny brush or toothpick instead of slopping it on there like a noob.

Wat wat? red car?

Leingod 05-07-2015 07:52 AM

Someone explain this to my newb mind.

Civic LX 2012.

Stock tire size: 195/65R-15
GF ordered size: 205/65-15

That 10 shouldn't make any difference, yet the shop she took it to said the tire is to big for the wheel and will just fall off. Yet stock for a Cobalt are 215's even though I was running 245's. I'm confused.

I have never seen or felt the dinoc, this actually feels like it could be a cf material sort of lol. The surface has a texture to it, not smooth like I was thinking it would be. Kinda hard to explain.

Leingod 05-07-2015 08:03 AM

I hate tires....One of you guys deal with my Girlfriend right now lol

A 195/65R15 would be closer to the original size in diameter and revolutions per mile.

Still the 205/65R15 should be OK being only 2.3% larger in diameter. Going up to 3% larger is normally not a problem in cars and up to 10% larger in a truck. the difference in size is only 6/10 inch in diameter of 3/10 of an inch in radius. I would rather doubt that you need to be concerned with such a small increase in size.

You are right that the 65 series tires will give you a better ride and they will likely give a slight improvement in snow traction and fuel economy due to being a bit narrower.

I had a 2004 Suzuki Aerio SX which took 195/55R15 tires. I bought 14 inch tires and wheels for it and liked them much better.
