You guys would know better than me:

Are there any good, stylish, hatchbacks in the 15k range, new? Prefer white and auto tranny. I like the looks of the Lexus CT200h but it's still pricey.

Any chance you'd go used? You can get a Fiesta ST for 15-16k or a Cruze for that price.

Brand new:

Chevy Spark (Looks moronic)
Hyundai Veloster (Looks fast, but slow)
Ford Focus (Slightly pricey)
Mazda 2 (uhhh...)
Kia Rio2 (No...just no)
Toyota Yaris... (I just gagged)

I'd consider used if there were still some mfg warranty on it and lowish miles. Maybe 10k miles tops.

I think I have only kicked the rear out twice, just to kinda get an idea of what it would take. VDC has been on 99.99% of the time lol.

Half the car has been waxed with Griots Best of Show liquid wax. I decided to skip the sealant and try out some of the goodies I bought recently

So something sporty, auto, white, hatch, and slow

VW Golf? They're ugly IMO. I'd take a Fiesta/Focus/Cruze anyday over a VW

2013 Volkswagen Golf Base, $14,995 - Cars.com

This is literally the only other car I can think of. Also, look around for a certified pre-owned. Trust me when I say that I went insane looking for a used Z. I got mine which is an 09' with 18k miles on it with a 4 year (48k) bumper to bumper warranty straight from Nissan since it was a CPO.

Nope, ugly and probably too small. :/ I did a local Fiesta search and nothing came up for used. I'll have to look at the Cruze.

Cruze is not a bad family car. Its not a break your neck looker but what reasonable family car is? Good room for hauling crap. Are you guys keeping the 350?

I forgot the Cruze is sedan only. I meant to say the Chevy Sonic. I linked one that I found in my previous post.

For now, that's the plan. I was going to just pick up a 2014 Sentra SR since a local dealer has a lot of inventory still. But I know I'd probably be happier with a hatch/wagon style that will look decent with some black accents.

Leingod 05-01-2015 03:26 PM

Alright guys. I'll be out with the Z and GF if anyone needs me. Have a good weekend!!

I like the veloster myself. I wonder how roomy they are?

720 miles... :driving:

And a little more front-end damage. :ugh2:

No idea when it happened but now I have a dent on the leading edge of the lower bumper. Probably from the semi with the exploding tire earlier. I'm feeling better about that inevitable front bumper respray already. :icon17:

It's nothing major, I noticed it when I was trying to find the other teeny scratches/chips among all the dead bugs at my buddy's house.

Love this car, road trips are a pleasure.
