Default First Z drive on a curvy road

Hi everyone:

Well, I got my 370z touring roadster last week. Unfortunately, I had to fly down to MS to get it and then take the car on a 600 mile roadtrip home. Not knowing the area I simply plugged in my GPS and obeyed. In my first hour it took me through some curvy backroads of Mississippi and Alabama. I can honestly report that it was without doubt the most fun hour of driving I've ever had in my life. Since the weather was warm down there I also had the top down which made it even better. For this first time Z owner (and first time convertible owner as well) it was very difficult to remove the smile off my face. (I told my wife that I hate that phrase "it was better than sex," but I had to admit that this drive was better!!!)

When I finally did hit the highway it wasn't nearly as much fun as my initial start leaving the dealership.

Any of you have favorite windy roads that you like to cruise???

Welcome....Curvy Roads and higher RPM's are what the 370Z is all about..

It comes alive in the turns and above 5000RPM...

I went on my favorite road yesterday...Threw the Auto into manual mode and went through the turns.

Sheer Joy..

Welcome.

I have taken the time and found a bevy of gorgeous, curvy roads in Maryland to drive. If you're ever in the Old Line State and want advice on curvies, just hit me up.

Ha...yes...totally agree on the better sex part. I think I'll show this thread to my wife. I'm sure she'll obey.

And yes, I've been paranoid about that locked steering wheel I've been reading about. Just saw the thread about pulling the fused (#48) from the box. That is a must do for me this weekend or earlier!!!

89a in Northern AZ, going through Jerome. I think it is like 159 curves in 11 miles. That road is a blast! If you drive it spend some time in Jerome as well.

Congrats on the new love and the new Z! We've got some curves here on the island. There is a mountain pass call Tantalus over here thats about DEEP corners back to back for about a 3 1/2 mile stretch. Not a high speed drive but ridiculously fun!

We have a lot of curvy roads in Cleveland, but that's just to get around all of the bic a$$ chuckholes. First you're like and then it's like .

Seriously, there are many curvy roads around NE Ohio, but if you want to get serious, you need to travel to the Southern part of Ohio.

Actually mults many of the roads in Indianapolis aren't anything to write home about either. (Excluding the big oval downtown....I forget what they call that race they have every May.)
