I dont mean only as in 8K isnt a lot, just that when you spend 160-200 on a car 8k is part of the deal. I can't say for sure

I can't say for sure on the Lambos but on the ferrari's they drop the whole motor out of the bottom to do the clutch. Watched Newport Ferrari do it when my car was in for overheating (the 2nd time). They said it was 6500 to 8 depending how bad it was, 7k was the average.

Welcome to the board, bunch of really helpful friendly guys are on here. As for the choice between the Z and the GTR, I chose the Z over the GTR purely because of style . . . yeah, that's it. :-) I'm gonna stand by that statement, nothing to do with the cost. Seriously though, it's a great car and I can't believe how much I've fallen in love with it.

Thank you for the warm welcome! Like I said, the $40K savings contributed to the decision

I keep going to the garage, can't recall the last time I did that. I think I'll send it to the painter tomorrow for some personal touches, then some upgrades..watch for pics!

I know its only 8 grand for a clutch but I didnt want the hassle. Funny thing is I spent 3 times that on my 360 with BS repairs and I only put 3k miles on it. Bought a bright orange gallardo used, had it for a day and forced the dealer to take it back, E gear slipped the very next day, awesome car but I like to drive to much to watch it age in my garage and not use it all the time.
I love it. Its my baby I wouldnt trade it for the world.

Default Other Pics

I was poking around the board, looks like a great bunch of guys.. Rather then share a ton of pics of my old rides which look like any other Exotic on the Net let me show you the one I finished last year.

This is my 67, took me a year and a half to build but most of it was done in my garage. I have a very simple rule I live by, don't build what you can't stop so not only did she have 750+HP but I had an air-assist brake set up that had unbelievable stopping power. I took the car to Hot August nights to show it and some guy offered me a fortune so she's gone now. Just wanted to show how extreme I typically get on my cars, originally I was going to make it into a driver but as you can see I just couldnt stop...HAHAHAHAA..and yes, it was really hard to see but funny!

Let me know what you think. Nismo project is starting soon!!

I like the way doubledown laid it all out, his is a track car and I still want to drive mine so unlikely I'll go that route. Thinking about some some paint changes, then brakes, then turbo kit, oil cooler right away and definitely some stereo work mixed in, perhaps that Kenwood install that I read about. I'll hit up the board sponsors for my parts...keep the $ in the board.

I'll send pics of the Z once the madness starts.

Welcome aboard. Good people here for the most part. Most just enjoy talking and sharing about things they have, are, or want to do to their Z to make it their own. From the hardcore track folks who I've learned a ton from to the everyday driver who just wants to have a nice sportscar to drive, you'll find them all here. Enjoy!
