Ppe lth + fi cbe = drone

Ok, I recently traded my 12" resonated x-pipe for a non-res x-pipe...bad move on my part. Of course it was louder than my 12" system but the drone inside the cabin made it unbearable; the car was undriveable. I thought maybe it was me so I took the wife out to dinner and a movie in the Z; now she won't ride in it again. So, I weighed a couple of options and decided to get 10" resonators welded on the x-pipe. Well, the Z is driveable again. The drone is gone for the most part and what exhaust noise penetrates the cabin is somewhat pleasant / bearable. So, for those of you on the fence, learn from my mistake.

Tony made you 10" resonators???? I have their headers waiting in my garage right now and i just ordered their 12" cf tdx. I was torn between the 12 and non resonated, I hate rasp but i love loud setups.

No, I went the economical route and had a local shop weld in 10" resonators on the FI x-pipe. You made a good choice by getting it resonated especially if you don't want drone.

Thats good to hear this was the hardest decision ive had to make for my Z. Right now I have stillens CBE and berks test pipes. that $hit is really raspy, the car literally sounds broken between 2k and 3k rpm. Thanks for the advice tho!
