Default M7 T-Titan Exhaust Fitment for 370z Nismo

Hey Guys,

I just installed a M7 T-Titan cat back exhaust system (thanks genome tuning for the great product!) on my '13 nismo.

I noticed that the exhaust tips sit much lower than the stock nismo exhaust. (~1.6inch vs. ~1.1 inch) from the top of the exhaust tip to the exhaust cut out of the bumper. My friend and I thought it was a bit strange that there would be that much gap between the bumper and the exhaust tip.

Is this normal? Does anyone else have the same/similar set up/experience? I'm assuming it's fine since both sides are even.

The exhaust sounds awesome...so this minor aesthetic concern isn't that big of a deal.

I included a picture for reference.

Thanks,

Nick

Looks good man, But I would adjust that up a little the gap is a little too big, You should have some as the exhaust gets hot but that's too much,

How can you raise the exhaust? We used the stock exhaust hangers. I couldn't imagine that they'd be stretched out (only two years old).

Any advice is appreciated

hangers dont stretch. well i dont believe so. my 2009 has had the aftermarket exhaust on for 3 years and 36k miles without moving a MM.

maybe just use some force and bend the exhaust or hangers to sit correctly.

maybe theres a difference in the bumpers and you didnt get the Nismo version exhaust?

maybe just poor quality control on the exhaust construction?

The quality of the exhaust is top notch..nice welds and bends... I feel like they must've meant to develop the exhaust to hang at this position because both tips are at the same height.

There may be a difference in the stock bumper vs. nismo bumper..not sure. There's no other version of the exhaust. I found a different pic on the web (maybe a member's car?) with a similar set up...it's hard to tell if it's around the same height or not. Let me knwo waht you think.

Thanks for all your input guys! I appreciate it!

nope thats aboutthe same fitment as your pic in the first post. maybe it's just a badly fittet exhaust system? i mean it is a JDM exhaust maybe its different fitment on those vs a USDM 370Z

try a different rubber hanger size one a bit smaller than the stock one. that way you don't have to bend anything. find out the size and go to summit or one of those other racing parts sites.

I was just about to suggest maybe trying to cut a hole in the stock hanger a little higher than the existing one to raise it up some, but Zteve had a better idea lol. Try that out.

Searched around for a bushing like the one holding up the two hangers in the rear. Hard to find since the z's requires a bushing with two perpendicular holes. Bought these

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...uct_refresh_T1

Guess we'll see if it works out. Will update with pics if it works

Thanks again for the suggestions!

You can try the bushings, but why not trying to bend the hanger like a half inch? I had to do that on my old Tanabe cat back on my 350Z?
