Unless he adapts those hoses to the fang vents, the filter will default to the area of least restriction, which will be hot air inside the engine bay. No telling how much restriction all that accordion hose will incur...I concur on the probable loss of power...
because it needs to be ram air and if the hoses arent positioned in away that they can recieve forced air at speed then they will be a useless part of the system...

also all the accordian hose will not create the venturi effect that most cai's are designed to do...
