Nissan 370Z Forum

My various Axleback exhaust review.

got any sound clips of the g37 exhaust with washer mod? I'm currently running a G37 resonator with the stock 370z muffler on and it sounds better.

There are a few on you tube. I didnt make any clips but it does sound very good. Rivals many catbacks and axle backs which cost hundreds more.

Sound is good. Mellow after warm and stays quiet until about 3500rpm and then noticeably louder. A bit of drone but way better than AAM short tails. This is a great axleback for the price and the best balance between stock and something like the short tails or a muffler delete.

I'll run this set up for a while. I want something that accentuates the VQ engine sound. I'll be adding test pipes or HFC's soon, but will be hanging onto my G37 muffler as I might end up doing test pipes or hfc's with resonator delete and G37 muffler with 370Z tips welded on and potentially add a Y-pipe.

I'm picky, and just can't get the exact exhaust note I want
Is this the axleback you had? I want something mellower than the AAM short tails but these don't appear to be muffled at all and in a later post you noted that the top speed axleback is....wondering if it's a different model:

That is not the Topspeed axle back. But it looks like a copy of the AAM short tails. Interesting. I haven't seen this before.
