Single midpipe vs true dual sound difference?

Narrowing the tough decision down between all the exhaust systems out there. The top speed pro-1 (single mid-pipe 2.75") is appealing obviously because of price but I don't mind going

Default Single midpipe vs true dual sound difference?

Narrowing the tough decision down between all the exhaust systems out there. The top speed pro-1 (single mid-pipe 2.75") is appealing obviously because of price but I don't mind going a couple extra bucks for a more expensive system.

My brother had an 06 350z nismo and put an Invidia exhaust on it, single midpipe catback and I did rather like the sound. So my question is for those that have heard both the true dual and the single midpipe on the z32 and what their impressions are as to the difference in sound(s).

I would like to think that a single midpipe of 2.75" diameter would be better for a little extra back pressure over a 2.5" true dual, and for sound resonation purposes but that's why I'm asking. Is there more of a rattle or rasp with the true dual? Trying to get an exceptionally clean, but pretty loud system for daily use.

most of the popular exhausts typically have an x-pipe, but there is something out there for whatever floats your boat. The forum favorite (I believe) is the Fast Intentions exhaust, though I personally use the Berk Technologies exhaust with F.I. long tube headers. My setup is modest (for a catless system) for daily driving but screams when I get on it. The rasp typically comes from either hi-flow cats or test pipes/LTHs.

Seriously interested in the Top Speed exhaust because a cbe with an aftermarket y-pipe and hfc could be done all for around $1000 and that seems hard to beat....

Guess I'll just have to try it out for myself and kick myself in the *** if I don't end up with a great sound
