I agree OP, the wheel gap is so fugly, bothered me everytime I walked toward my car. Just hated the profile, lowering created a totally different look. Still worth the low life in my opinion. I'd do it again, no speed bumps were a problem. Just a clear obstacle I didn't pattention to, smh. You gotta pay to play sometimes, I'm paying!

Wait until you hit a bump on the freeway and have to replace a $1000+ carbon front lip because it ripped off and you ran it over. :shakes head:

But definitely agree on the "pay to play".

I'm just gonna replace it. Z is no longer my daily after this weekend :)

Anyone have had their CF exhaust for atleast 2 years? If so? How's is it holding up?

i installed mine in september 2011 and mine are perfect. only thing on mine is a small nick on the leading/front edge of the muffler where a small rock hit it. no pics of it but i can if needed. nothing to really see honestly.

the carbon fiber is wrapped around the stainless steel. the whole can is not fully carbon fiber. its just a wrap. underneath it is stainless steel.

To the poster above....I'm not sure you're correct. In either case, I trust the quote below!. :icon18:

Wow, what a burn! The scratches look very minimal. You can buff the "white" out with a good polish. If you do not contribute to the scratches anymore, you should be more than fine.

As for the cans, they do not have stainless steel underneath them. The Carbon Fiber is the actual sleeve to the muffler.

Speed bumps and dips are generally not the issue. It is a steep apex in a driveway that usually does it.

Call me if you have any questions.

Thanks, Tony

Ouch, I'm planning on getting exact same exhaust (carbon fiber, non-res). Sorry to hear that. Just posted a thread on should I get coil overs or Springs. Maybe I should just get Springs after all and just be careful. I thought the springs wouldn't give me enough of a clean look but with 20's maybe I'll be fine. Drive slow when your lowered I guess
