My right can had a nice quarter size flat spot the low life is not so fun sometimes :p
|
I'm on swifts and had CF cans for a year. I haven't scraped yet.
|
I scraped both mine a few months after installation almost made me cry. No speed bump, just not paying attention and drove through boulders of rocks over a driveway in the middle of repair. I heard every boulder tear through the canisters. About a nickel size exactly where your scrapes are. I quickly realized it was a sleeve and not an overlay. Pricing on just rear section is not bad at all. Yours is not nearly as bad as mine, my canisters are definitely straight through the cf...sound is louder too. Just don't plan on keeping the Z much longer so no replacement happening for me.
Be glad your damage is minimal! |

see i cant complain about wheel gap |
I agree OP, the wheel gap is so fugly, bothered me everytime I walked toward my car. Just hated the profile, lowering created a totally different look. Still worth the low life in my opinion. I'd do it again, no speed bumps were a problem. Just a clear obstacle I didn't pattention to, smh. You gotta pay to play sometimes, I'm paying!

Trying not to spend money on wheels :) |
War wounds every Z has a story to tell.

Hate to see this, but luckily no one can see it without crawling underneath :)

http://www.the370z.com/members/ripti...75143-ouch.jpg Both of my SS cans now have nice flat spots(fixed with a mallet). I never had an issue on Swifts, but dropping her farther on coils did the trick. Made the exhaust a bit deeper sounding...win...????? who knows :p |
Dannnng! Lol
|
Ouch lol. Atleast yours is SS, and that you can weld it together
