Ark DT-S Exaust System + Berk HFC

I finally made up my mind and made an order

I decided to go with Ark dts burnt tip exaust + Berk HFC ( i wanted ark hfc but the store didnt have them in stock so i decided to go with Berk HFC) so now i want to know how will this berk hfc be different over ark hfc (sound,hp gains...)??

The design between hfcs probably isn't much different externally. Mostly it's just how many cells are used on the inside and how restrictive that is.

so no significant changes over the ark hfc.... i heard that there is some CEL error after installing berk hfc...whats that and how can be solved?

i have the berks with my hks...i had no cel issues. if you get one,i think the best bet is to go get the car tuned....which you shhould do at somepoint in time anyway if you really wanna bring the z to life.

as for the hfc's being diffrent...unless you get one that has a resonator in it,exterior they all look the same,its the internals that matter. as mentioned above.

yea i plan to go with tune after installing the exaust system....
maybe it sounds funny, ive asked the guy from the store if the berk hfc fits ark dts exaust and he said it will fit with no problems...i shouldnt worry about that? they fit no mather of the brand?

The parts for our cars are meant to fit due to the sizes of almost every aftermarket exhaust being like 2.5-2.75 inches. I believe some are 3 inches. Anyways, don't worry about fitment issues it'll be alright. Please please please post a vid of that set up I am also interested in getting hfc for my dts thanks!

The exhaust flange mounts are in the same arrangement as stock exhaust, thats why they mate so easily. Also the hfc question as far as the differnce in sound....its different from berks to the hfc's from ark because it is resonated. That will change the pitch of the exhaust sound immensely vs a non resonated cat. No cel with berks because of the extension off the cat where you do get cel with ark.

Hfc will cause car to lean out bad so expect some p420, p430, p300, and p2a00. Check my sig for the ark hfc and dual cbe setup....its sick!

So either hfc is gonna throw off a light? Sorry I'm not too familiar w/ codes and stuff but I wanna get some hfc. I heard that if you get o2 sensor extensors that there won't be a light. Did you have to get a tune?

Yes they will cause the car to lean out below threshold value. You qill need a tune after you get them installed. The bing extension does not work I wasted $25on them from z1 and it didnt work.

I got my tune done at stillen. Sammy there did a good job tuning my car. If you plan on doing other mods buy them all amd do one install and the immediate tune. I got random multiple cylinder misfire due to the car leaning out so far. Hope this helps.
