As for the hfc/exhaust combo, sorry but our Z is getting more proto stuff done by other companies. (aluminum rad and oil cooler). Once we get our Z back, we will test the hfc/exhaust combe and make another video

The original Q300 showed approximately an 18 HP increase if my memory is correct. Will the new version maintain that increase? Looking forward to more info on this exhaust.

It should be close, Additional resonators and Double cans should not add too much restrictions but the new x pipe should improve the torque:tup:

Richie 09-28-2009 05:24 PM

do they offer different tips?

The single wall titanium tips are my personal favorite.

Looking forward to your comments after the install. You got resonators correct?

The new setup all comes with resonators. No more rasp gurantee even with HFC'S. We've installed 6 total, one of them being my G37 and no RASP whatsoever:tup:

There are resonators, but I am also running with Berk test pipes, so we shall see about rasp, as test pipes have a little on their own.

I'm between this, MXP, and FI. I'm still waiting for dyno results on the MXP and this Invidia unit!

Word. If this setup makes similar numbers to the FI exhaust, it'll be the best deal around.

They are trying to schedule the dyno for next week.

Mike 10-01-2009 09:37 PM

no dyno, but sound clips here. The invidia took the rasp out of my test pipes. Even if they are 5hp less than the others, I highly recommend them!!!!!!

Is the sound usable on the street? Not TOO loud? Also, highway cruising, close to stock? I would like a nice sound improvement when I get on it, but otherwise somewhat normal when cruising/not under load. Thanks.

Mike 10-01-2009 09:55 PM

it sounds awesome under load, but you probably wouldn't even notice it with the windows up, I have test pipes and its still quiet inside. This is your exhaust!!!! Listen to my videos.

Cool, that's exactly what I'm looking for, great under load.......... windows up interstate cruising sound system going no issues. I am hoping dyno shows close to 18 HP increase similar to the original. Thanks for the update!

John

John

I'm hoping it would have similar gains too. I mean for the price, the quality and like what MIKE said, sounds great even with test pipes with little to no drone, if i was a consumer, I would be all over this. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK:tup:

LOU@AMPLIFIED 10-02-2009 01:48 AM

Thank you for the order Mole.. Install tomorrow:tup:

I have the original Q300 on my Z.. after a few months of having it installed the rasp has definately gotten better but is still there. I think it sounds best when the pipes are still cold.. sounds meaner..

Kind of makes me wish I had this version though :/ oh well, I got such a steal on my original Q300, it helps ease the pain of being an early adopter.

TonyBPD 10-05-2009 03:42 PM

Want to see some dyno numbers on this exhaust. Definitely seems to be a nice piece.

LOU@AMPLIFIED 10-06-2009 04:31 AM

dyno is set for OCT 6 at 1pm

I will update everyone once we get the dyno sheet:tup:

abakja1 10-07-2009 08:09 PM

Nice setup,..
Invidia makes nice pieces as I installed downpipe on my friend's Subaru.
The rear muffler setup looks like they have a lot of clearance to the ground and Im loving the Ti tip color..

Credit card at the ready. Need dyno!

Mike 10-09-2009 05:04 PM

I guess the numbers weren't that good :(

Regardless, I'm very happy with mine.

jpit 10-09-2009 05:20 PM

They did run it and it showed about a 13 hp gain without resetting the ecu. They are putting some miles on the car this weekend and will re-dyno on Monday. I just ordered one with the rolled tips so I got this info from Lou.
