tell us something we dont know

V8Killer 09-11-2013 01:47 PM

The reason I called was b/c I was under the impression this kit was available but apparently it is not. I was actually calling to make the purchase as I need the lower plenum so I could ship it out to get my direct port nitrous project started. I was informed that only 2 prototypes are available. No time was given. I asked about the strut brace. They haven't even started on it.

NickD 09-11-2013 02:01 PM

G37sHKS 09-11-2013 02:14 PM

I was looking to get GTR conversion before fine tune and get the strut brace later when they release it Im even interested in it before dyno results beacuse i dont care about dyno graphs but looks like we wont see anything till all MHI kit are shipped.

I might get my interest back to Doran racing manifold or whoever makes one first to eliminate this stock plastic manifold

yeeeah, sounds about right about how things are going there right now. We'll see if the MHI kit is ever finished...:shakes head:

Wow, they started this thread waaay too early then and they even have it listed with a price too, damn. Not expecting any updates until 2014 now...

I hope it shouldn't be much Longer as one of the cars they have been working on is mine  I can say from the mock up of the piping they are doing on the car it's going to be sexy.

Kingbaby 09-28-2013 05:24 AM

nice man...after they mock up that last intake pipe i'd ask them for it to polish/wrinkle paint it...

moar

You got a rough estimate on when you will get your car back?

It will be going to polish once it's all put together nicely. I'm not wanting to do anything that will delay the already long wait such as thermal costing etc although I would like to

DIGItonium 09-28-2013 11:13 AM

I think thermal coating is less labor intensive than polishing. I had mine powdercoated black.

roplusbee 09-28-2013 07:26 PM

It is not far fetched to think that the donor vehicle(s) will be finished shortly. If you are waiting on "mass" production of the one off items, then you may have to have some decent patience.

Still no update

Sure you can. And you will. :rofl2:

;)

This thing's not on the back burner anymore. It's not even on the stove at this point.

That's the right attitude to have with these guys. :rofl2:
They make great stuff, but they do it on their own schedule. I wouldn't expect to see them move the ball on this one until the MHI kits start moving out the door.

Really. That Cosworth plenum took forever. The Crawford one was great also. On my 350Z I had the ever so lame Kinetix plenum and when swapping it out to the Crawford I gain 32whp on my Turbonetics kit.

If this plenum was a steak, it's probably back into a cow at this point. :icon17:

Good man, after all the headaches with the blue Z, I bought another Z 06 rev up, but I decided to change a bit and I bought the nismo, I still didn't get to install the momentum turbo kit in the 350z :shakes head:
