I've had my Berk HFC and CBE installed for over a year now and have had NO CELs. I do not think that the exhaust is too loud. As a matter of fact, the exhaust note was too mellow without the HFCs. Once I installed the HFCs, the sound (to me) was just about perfect. I think that either HFC you install, the sound will be about the same.
