I did the spacer mod to the exhaust....

You likely lose a little on the low end because of the loss of back pressure

Low end torque is probably be lost due to lack of back pressure. How much is unknown. Plus just theoretical. Top end would probably be the same if not a bit more. I just don't like all the drone in cabin since it all resonates under the car.

Don't you lose torque. That would affect back pressure

adding only an aftermarket exhaust would cause loss of torque down low and add hp up top also theoretically ... so whats the difference with the spacers mod i did?

this is interesting, any noticeable fumes or rasp?

Can you share a video or sound clip?

I've been really tempted to do this mod but something tells me not to do it. I purchased the washers about 6 months ago but then decided to leave the car as is. Now that I read this thread, I'm thinking about it again. DAMN!

I did this for a few days to show my Fiancee about how loud the car was before I ditched my aftermarket exhaust in favor of the S-Tune. Sounds great no doubt, and its cheap. The stock tips look great so if you don't have the $$ to get an aftermarket exhaust, there is no shame in doing this mod.

just do it. if you dont like it, put it back within 5min. there is definitely no shame in it on the appearance as there are no difference from stock.

i am completely happy with it as the sound is awesome and no rasp at all. it definitely attracts extra attention and more complements on top of a regular sexy Z

Shouldn't it be called, "the exhaust leak mod"?

How many washers are usually used for this mod?

And cosmetically, you couldn't tell a difference except now my car sounds like I have FI exhaust system
You created an exhaust leak in your pipes and you're claiming it sounds like an FI exhaust?
