I have been extreamly happy with my non-res CF F.I.

Hopefully you can get too see the exhaust in person & make the choice that reflects on the direction you want to go & be ultimately happy with.

Good luck.

so is non functional carbon fiber wrapped on your cans right?

Then again its individual taste like you said

Calm down damn you, lol

Felix may have that annoying damn laughing cat, but he's a good guy! And his name isn't Felix, LOL

Hey, Fairlazy, I'm going to invite Felix to our mini meet and you guys can battle it out! Ricer burnt tips vs CF cans! LOL

Amuse370z 03-12-2013 04:11 PM

I should've created a poll, its like everyone has a different opinion!

LostSol 03-12-2013 04:42 PM

Opinions are like *** holes, everyone has one, and they're all a little different.

Amuse370z 03-12-2013 04:45 PM

How do the 3 compare in sound?

No ricer but I was rolling with my civic buddies and I envied how their exhausts shake the streets when they wanted it to.

... Civic, shake the streets, LOL!!!
A 6 cylinder is hard to get to sound like the rumble of a V8, let alone a 4 banger

Technically the cf isn't completely non functional. Its a further weight reduction over the stainless cans and most other exhaust I believe

The Carbon Fiber mufflers are not an overlay, they are the actual sleeve to the muffler. the muffler itself weighs just over 1 lb.

Thanks, Tony

I guess it wasn't meant to be.

The guy mistaken the discontinued Ti-C for Greddy's new exhaust which does not have burnt tips.

Now I'm back to searching.

ZKraken22 03-19-2013 02:12 PM

If your searching for more systems look up exoticspeed R2 exhaust

Amuse370z 03-19-2013 04:49 PM

Will do right now, thanks!

I'm leaning towards Motordyne E370 at the moment, the price is decent, I'm just not sure if its loud enough to satisfy my needs. Or at least match the Ti-C in terms of that.

ZKraken22 03-19-2013 05:03 PM

The motordyne E70 is for sure loud when matched with test pipes. the E370 looks better too.

The FI CF CBE (12" resonators, I believe) is 41 lbs. For the Nismo, this is a weight savings of 25 lbs (stock is 66 lbs) and for the base Z it's a savings of 16 lbs... of course, this is sprung weight so it doesn't matter as much as losing weight in your wheels or elsewhere. I still like offsetting the weight I've added from other mods. :)

When i was shopping for exhaust, I was looking for something that would work well in an F/I application. The only options at that time were Greddy TiC, AAM Performance R-Line, and GTM. Just as I was about to pull the trigger on the TiC, F.I. released their TT-TDX. I haven't looked back since!

Edit: I had an F.I. TDX w 18" resonators before as well. Ther is no compairison to the sound that it produces. There is a little drone around 2200RPM, but that is in my current (pretty much straight through piping) setup and could be easily tuned out with the right sound deadening or resonator.

That exhaust is very loud bro, combine it with ART Pipes and your choice of headers and the ART Pipes complement the exhaust well thus makes it quiet during Idle and loud when you WOT let alone even if you are just half way on the gas pedal:happydance: , Not to mention if you ever go F/I Motordyne also sells the Xpipe and Mid Pipes @ 3'' to match the rest and go all out F/I exhaust.
