Final exhaust opinions before I pull the trigger

I'm looking at Greddy Ti-Cs and will probably pull the trigger within the next few days, I'm just trying to see what others think about the exhaust and my decision before I actually pull the trigger. My choices are:

Greddy Ti-C
Motordyne E370
Fast Intentions non res.

My problem with FI is that it doesn't have burnt tips and I'm gonna have to wait for shipping of the Motordyne and FI, whereas I can get the Ti-C right away.

Romulus1 03-11-2013 06:04 PM

Fast Intentions, just do it!

NissanGuy23 03-11-2013 06:40 PM

My personal choice would be GReddy Ti-C for your car

DEpointfive0 03-11-2013 07:47 PM

Ark Grip???

That shít sounds amazing

GrooveStyle 03-11-2013 09:11 PM

I got My e370 from the forum dealer FBNissan (Fred Beans Nissan). They got the exhaust to me within a week and a 1/2. You can pick any two sets of tips: (4.5" stainless cut, 4.5" stainless rolled, 5" cut or rolled burnt, or 4.5" cut or rolled burnt). Good options, I LOVE the sound, premium hardware, and FBNissan gave me a great price! It's worth giving them a call and seeing what they say if you're interested in that exhaust, which I would highly recommend. However, all those you have listed would be great choices.

:icon18::icon18::icon18:

It's really one of the best sounding exhausts for the 370Z... I want to say the deepest, not the loudest, but the deepest tone

122554 03-11-2013 10:29 PM

Just ordered the Ark Grip for my Nismo. On sale through March for $1274!

asdfsammich 03-11-2013 10:32 PM

You guys prefer grip's tone more than dts?

Phone Tapatalk *nix ...

shika805 03-11-2013 11:38 PM

Ark FTW, with test pipes is rediculous!

I couldn't tell you the difference, I have heard plenty of Grips, and only one person I know has the DTS, and I haven't heard it yet

I know individual taste differs, but to me burnt tips are too pozer/ricer looking to me.:twocents:

I have been extreamly happy with my non-res CF F.I.

Hopefully you can get too see the exhaust in person & make the choice that reflects on the direction you want to go & be ultimately happy with.

Good luck.

RSZED 03-12-2013 11:14 AM

Motordyne E370 can't go wong with them the sound is amazing better than any other exhaust out there in the market besides Amuse and they are proven for most horsepower compared to bigger brands and other exhaust besides Amuse, import tuner made a review on them before and they praised it. So go motordyne can't go wrong with them, engineering, sound, quality and power.

RotanimoD 03-12-2013 01:26 PM

greddy ti-c!!!

Then again its individual taste like you said

If he likes heated tips, then he likes them

Calm down damn you, lol

Felix may have that annoying damn laughing cat, but he's a good guy! And his name isn't Felix, LOL

Hey, Fairlazy, I'm going to invite Felix to our mini meet and you guys can battle it out! Ricer burnt tips vs CF cans! LOL

Amuse370z 03-12-2013 04:11 PM

I should've created a poll, its like everyone has a different opinion!

LostSol 03-12-2013 04:42 PM

Opinions are like *** holes, everyone has one, and they're all a little different.

Amuse370z 03-12-2013 04:45 PM

How do the 3 compare in sound?

No ricer but I was rolling with my civic buddies and I envied how their exhausts shake the streets when they wanted it to.

... Civic, shake the streets, LOL!!!
A 6 cylinder is hard to get to sound like the rumble of a V8, let alone a 4 banger

Technically the cf isn't completely non functional. Its a further weight reduction over the stainless cans and most other exhaust I believe

The Carbon Fiber mufflers are not an overlay, they are the actual sleeve to the muffler. the muffler itself weighs just over 1 lb.

Thanks, Tony

Amuse370z 03-14-2013 03:09 AM

I guess it wasn't meant to be.

The guy mistaken the discontinued Ti-C for Greddy's new exhaust which does not have burnt tips.

Now I'm back to searching.

ZKraken22 03-19-2013 02:12 PM

If your searching for more systems look up exoticspeed R2 exhaust

Amuse370z 03-19-2013 04:49 PM

Will do right now, thanks!

I'm leaning towards Motordyne E370 at the moment, the price is decent, I'm just not sure if its loud enough to satisfy my needs. Or at least match the Ti-C in terms of that.

ZKraken22 03-19-2013 05:03 PM

The motordyne E70 is for sure loud when matched with test pipes. the E370 looks better too.

The FI CF CBE (12" resonators, I believe) is 41 lbs. For the Nismo, this is a weight savings of 25 lbs (stock is 66 lbs) and for the base Z it's a savings of 16 lbs... of course, this is sprung weight so it doesn't matter as much as losing weight in your wheels or elsewhere. I still like offsetting the weight I've added from other mods. :)

roplusbee 03-19-2013 10:01 PM

When i was shopping for exhaust, I was looking for something that would work well in an F/I application. The only options at that time were Greddy TiC, AAM Performance R-Line, and GTM. Just as I was about to pull the trigger on the TiC, F.I. released their TT-TDX. I haven't looked back since!

Edit: I had an F.I. TDX w 18" resonators before as well. Ther is no compairison to the sound that it produces. There is a little drone around 2200RPM, but that is in my current (pretty much straight through piping) setup and could be easily tuned out with the right sound deadening or resonator.

RSZED 03-22-2013 04:47 PM

That exhaust is very loud bro, combine it with ART Pipes and your choice of headers and the ART Pipes complement the exhaust well thus makes it quiet during Idle and loud when you WOT let alone even if you are just half way on the gas pedal:happydance: , Not to mention if you ever go F/I Motordyne also sells the Xpipe and Mid Pipes @ 3'' to match the rest and go all out F/I exhaust.

FireDan50 03-23-2013 04:54 AM

Have you made a decision yet on your exhaust? I have a BRAND NEW GReddy Ti-C in my house just sitting in the box. I bought this about a month ago. I was going to use it to for a Turbo build but my project plans changed. I'm not in a rush or hurry to sell it. I just saw your thread and thought I'd offer it. I'd sell it for hundreds less than MSRP....not trying to make $$$ off it, just break even. PM me if interested. My location says Belgium because I'm USAF but I'll be living in South Carolina next week :)

G37sHKS 03-23-2013 07:12 AM

Just go with what ever looks better for you, they are function the same.

zpower86 03-23-2013 08:42 AM

I'm installing an Ark Grip Polished cat-back today. :)

Just forget the E370.

PS; Just my opinion.

Please elaborate! I thought Greddy was a well known brand for quality products?

I have decided on the E370, I am about to finalize my order with B2autodesign, just having small issues with paypal that I gotta take care of first.

:happydance:

Just installed the greedy ti-c a couple days ago and I am still in awe of the sound. Really deeeeeeep rumbling thunder sound when you start it, like really deep and bit of angry rasp to balance it out. Believe me it will be loud enough haha, I went for a 3 hour drive this weekend and my ears were ringing cuz i didnt install the silencers.

Don't know what that guy is talking about for the quality because this baby has really nice welds, lovely bends, and solid build. Quality is top-notch on greddy ti-c, fits the 370z like a champ, no need to cut or relocate anything when I installed.

Good luck on your search bro!:tiphat::tiphat::tiphat:

He is probably stuck on Trust/Greddy products from like 30 years ago purchased second hand.............

Amuse370z 03-30-2013 06:34 PM

Now I'm stuck between GTHaus and Motordyne, the GTHaus will cost about $300 less but that is only for the axle back.

Dystopia 03-30-2013 06:52 PM

I went with the Berk CBE + HFC setup. There are a few vids on youtube and it just sounds perfect IMO. Hoping to get mine installed next weekend.

Good luck with your decision!

Same here. Please check out the Berk setup. I've had mine now for 2 weeks and still brings a smile to my face every time I drive my Z. It sounds amazing...........really amazing.

RSZED 04-02-2013 12:59 PM

With Greddy or GTHaus you won't make the same amount of power you will with amuse or the E370z (specially in the sound Dept Loudness+power+unique sound= better exhaust.) trust me ive had different exhaust for G35 to 37's and Greddy as far as quality is good but the power gains are very low. GTHaus is more for sound but their exhaust won't deliver as far as quality nor dyno numbers either. The fellas back at NAGTROC GTR forum have had complained about GThaus having welding issues specially with their titanium products, and as far as i'm concerned, if they can't make quality products for a GTR or an M5 what will you expect with the 370z??:owned:
