All I can tell you all is after I put the headers on there was a significant change in how the car ran on the top end, I said this before, we are way to wrapped up in numbers, I might pull mine out in February and go dyno when it is 20 degrees outside and Ill probably hit close to 340 if I suck in in that cold air on the dyno...Here is my final verdict, IF you can do the install yourself they are worth it, if not, forget it, save the money for something else.

Shouldn't SAE correct weather and any other factors when you dyno?

Supahonky 11-22-2013 08:35 PM

Yeah you know not to be a downer but Nissan did a great job with this six. Just hate it cause after 4,000 extra in this thing I don't know if it really even did any good. While my nephew spent 28,000 for a 2008 335i twin turbo w/sport package. Dropped 1200 at a swap meet and is pushing 450hp and killing about everything on the track. My first Nissan and I love it. Just wish we could get more support from the Nissan community on what to waste our money on and what really benefits our cars. Hell now they are even saying that CAI are a waste of money. That you benefit more with just dropping a nice set of filters in. I don't know just confusing and discouraging. Hell even the Hyundai Genesis guys seem to have a clearer understanding than we do about our cars and even get crap that is similar for their damn cars and cost twice as less. Damn it now worked myself all up... Going to have a cold one.

Power is left untapped, unfortunately, you have to upgrade every bolt on to really feel the gains. Car sure does love boost though.

Supahonky 11-22-2013 09:17 PM

I heard a couple of guys say that nitrous is the way to go. Cause it is only there when you need it and don't have constant heat being pushed into the car. God you don't know how many times I have thought about getting TT. But honestly 10,000? I could drop a LS1 w/super charger and still have 2 grand in my pocket. Better center wait and parts from then on out cost a dime a dozen. I hope just for the fun of it Nissan drops a V8 in these cars one day.

While I am a mod freak(and also I have no labor costs I do all my own work so I have parts only investments) and while I like speed, the older I get the less I "care" if my car is faster than car X or has 5 billion HP... I am sure a large portion of the Z community, myself included did not buy the Z and saved for a year or 3 could acquire a GTR(not new in all cases) that will crush all but some boosted Z's, but I do need a gear box, an sure there are other options, hell even an evo can get crazy hp with low cost but I like the styling of this car, the way it feels(for the most part, still don't think the handling is as good as it should be with my setup- for another day) and I have bench marked against the current market car and have achieved my goal against the 5.0 mustang, so at the end of the day, I enjoy this car, and am happy with the performance as a whole, but as I close this super duper long run-on, I will be boosted next summer, and it will cost a stupid amount of money, but to me, it is worth it.

Nope. If you want to buy me tires or let me use your wheels. I'll be happy to dyno it tomorrow

I'll hopefully dyno in a week or so. Again, I have genuine Momentum headers, not Z1's if that helps anyone

So did Andrew ever get his car on the dyno for a post headers pull?

No seņor. Get new tires. One has a puncture. LOL
I have another set of wheels and tires sitting in my garage though. When I get less lazy or when I have a day off I might swap them

brucelidat 01-15-2014 01:44 AM

Haven't you been needing new tires for a while? Do you have another car you are DD'ing? Where do you do your dyno pulls, BTW?

I got new tires. And one of the rears has a patch. Give me your wheels to dyno. And no, this is my DD
Look up for where I dyno

Joepro 01-28-2014 10:14 PM

Anyone who did these still have their OE headers? I need a set for cheap plzzz!

SPOHN 01-29-2014 08:34 PM

Define cheap? No doubt it would be $50 shipped. I'd do $150 shipped. But could not ship till Friday afternoon. I do not have the OEM heat shields. I want out of my storage.

Joepro 01-29-2014 08:42 PM

Yes 150 is fair IMO, DEfivepoint0 PMed me last night, if that falls through Ill PM you, the Z1s have no heat shields, I am not really concerned about it, I could actually wrap them...

brucelidat 01-29-2014 08:52 PM

I am surprised such a popular thread didn't yield more reviews and dynos. What happened to all the people who were all psyched up and got these?
