No, it will only void the warranty on a part that fails due to the CIA being installed.

Coming from a car that had tons of mod potential and lots of warranty issues, the dealer can make your life hard....

If the CAI makes more power, then the dealer can claim it impacts the entire drive train. The clutch or torque convertor is overworked....the engine internals are used outside of spec, the drive shaft is subjected to more force, etc, etc, etc. If the dealer wants to make a deal of it, they can.

IMO, it will all come down to the warranty history. If our cars are strong and there is little to no "extra warranty claims" on modified cars, then they will not likely do much. But if this car is near the edge of its engineer limits (or the mods find a new weak link), then expect a lot of grief for modified cars. How long can you go with the car in the dealership waiting for evaluation and Nissan reps to check on it? They can hold the car for weeks under a "review period" and it will not count to the lemon law times. Yes, I know....the law says they have to prove that the mod caused the failure. But they can just say no....you need to pay for the repair (or go w/o the car), hire a lawyer and go after them. The law says that speeding is iliegal, but people do it. Without enforcement, it is not followed.

Always remember....you have to pay to play. Or at least be prepared to pay.

This has only been discussed in about 50 other threads. I wish I had the power to merge threads

I had my dealer install mine with the Stillen CBE and HF cats and they told me they didnt have a problem with maintaining my warranty as long as the parts dont cause the problem. It helped that I paid them to install it all. They told me you take of us and we will take care of you.
