What is your set up?

Thanks

Yes, you can still see 'em! :yum: Check back a few pages on this thread and you'll see 'em. When I called Tony to order mine, I expressed concern about scraping, and thats when he told me that little tidbit. It's not much, I think it was like a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch, but Tony will have to confirm as I don't remember precisely.

As per Tony when I ordered mine, the lowest part of the can will be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch HIGHER than the Stock Exhaust.

Sorry F.I. noob here, I just wanted to ask a question. I've been debating between the F.I. CBE + HFC and the Berk CBE+ HFC and I'm curious if the power gains and sound is similar or does one have an advantage over the other. The Berk looks like the Oem exhaust and I've noticed the F.I. sits fairly low and I was wondering if the FI exhaust would bottom out or scrape.

I can say with my First Gen FI CBE that I've never scraped, and even lowered 1" all around. As long as you approach obstacles correctly and not at too excessive speed, you won't scrape.

Ditto here... Never scraped, and have yet to hear anything on a Z, more lovely than the F. I. system!

Ah I see...is it true that the newer batch of FI CBE sits higher than slightly older ones? Is it confirmed or has someone compared them?

Yes, the '2nd Gen' FI exhaust's have the angles of the cans changed so they sit higher up. The primary complaint from buyers was they 'appeared to sit low, and people worried they would scrape'. So the piping was redone to elevate the lowest edge from the ground.

The mufflers sit higher as standard practice now. They have for about 10 months!

Thanks, Tony
