I waited 26hrs or so but my friend uses it all the time and said 1 hour is fine. Just use a breaker bar to tighten everything down on the exhaust so there's no leaks

It's been 16 hours since I did it... I'll probably wait until tomorrow after I get home from work to start it. It's raining here, so I'm in no real hurry. I used a 3/8" torque wrench thats 14" long to tighten everything. More than 50-60 ft lbs. I tightened everything as much as I could, hopefully thats enough... Thanks for the reply.

Anyone know what number is up next from Tony?

I am not currently in the shop, however I know that we have shipped over the 400 mark.

For what it is worth, I am still currently on track to ship everyones system within their original estimated shipping window.

Everyones patience is greatly appreciated...

Thank you, Tony

Thanks Tony. Sounds like it's time for me to put her up on jack stands, start soaking down and taking off the old exhaust. Won't be long now! 403!

It shouldn't be too much longer. If you have any questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to ask...

Thank you, Tony

it broke right off. I don't know how long this has been like this since I only really noticed it now.

I hope I can go to tom on saturday to get it welded :shakes head:

This is very rare but has happened a few other times over the years. Maybe 5 or so that i can remember out of thousands of systems. Not bad odds but I always hate to see it, even when it is rare like this. If you were local I could fix it in five minutes.

It looks like it broke off on one side of the weld opposed to down the middle. Sometimes if a lot of stress is put on a weld the tubing that it is welded to will give out. Very hard track driving can cause this.

Whoever you decide to have fix it in Belgium tell them to do it like this.

-Support the muffler section back up in the exhaust cutout where you want it to live.

-With the hanger in the rubber, pre-load it by pulling down on it a little. This will allot for the weight of the muffler once it is welded. If you just rest it against the tip where it was and weld it, once the support under the muffler is removed, the weight of the muffler will cause it to sag a little lower than the other side.

-Weld the hanger down the rear side (closest to the back of the tip) and also across the bottom.

Good luck and If you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask me...

Thank you, Tony

How do i order a FI exhaust with v-band clamps, unpolished, and no oversize tips?

Volk Z 11-30-2011 10:47 AM

Hey Tony, would there be anyway to get the Carbon exhaust for the 370Z with Titanium tips? I would have no problem paying more... :)

Thank you!

Good thing you have that Juke!

Doug&Michelle 11-30-2011 12:01 PM

Not yet. Should be any day now and I just wanted to be ready. As soon as it gets here, I'm slapping it on! Been waiting since September 21st! Tony said they've shipped over the 400 mark and I'm 403.
