I definitely plan to, as they should show up nicely from behind against the Chicane Yellow of the car.

Does the CF muffler change the sound significantly?

(BTW Shumby, XKCD is awesome!)

nogoodname 07-27-2009 10:06 AM

^^ makes a deeper sound

shumby 07-27-2009 10:36 AM

ya the sound is a bit more exotic and deeper. real nice

Daishi 07-27-2009 10:39 AM

how do the CF mufflers produce the different sound like that? different design? its not just the CF outside and thats it lol.

shumby 07-27-2009 10:42 AM

it is just that. sounds reflects (bounces) different in different materials.

nogoodname 07-27-2009 10:49 AM

sound is made by vibrations

The CF mufflers are lighter than the steel ones, so I assume from that the CF is actually structurally replacing the steel, not just a layer on the outside. Hence the sound change.
