We just took the car out for lunch, went over numerous speed bumps at a regular pace. The exhaust didn't even come close to hitting.

BTW, we also tested out a non resonated X Pipe. You want to talk about exotic, holy crap it sound wicked.

I understand the point you made where the lowest point is in relation to the tires.. However, you guys have been driving around with the car at STOCK height..

Are you planning to lower the car anytime soon and take more pictures and do more test drives..??

I am almost 100% positive that anyone who is modding their Z is going to lower the car...

Thanks..

Awesome exhaust Tony as so many have said.

I have also sent you a PM and Email regarding the RTP's and CBE. Keep up the great work mate.

I have plenty of mods, and I'm not going to lower my car. After having my 03 Z lowered and dealing with trying to get it back to spec, and bottoming out everywhere, and having to take entrences at angles, I gave up. My 370 will stay stock height. I think that anybody who lowers there car will have issues with any exhaust, more less anything under their car. Your gonna scrap at some point. Why worry about it.

how low was it?

How low did you drop your 350?

FuszNissan 07-24-2009 10:47 PM

1" front and back

^agreed, I will not be lowering mine either...stock height is optimal for most driving conditions as is...any lower would be sacrificing overall ride quality...

Until someone actually installs this on a lowered car, I don't think we'll get a definite answer. I just installed Eibachs on mine so if anyone else that's on the list is lowered and installs the exhaust before me, then please update us. If not, my install is on August 7th, and we'll know by then.

I am PO# 003 and I am very low on BC coilovers. I will post up how I deal with ground clearance with this exhaust after it is installed and i drive around for a while.

tonmed123 07-25-2009 12:36 AM

Im on the list for PO2. I'll wait for the definite 411 on this before I make a move on the KWV3's.

I will really appreciate you guys with lowered Z's do what you have volunteered to do..

To be honest, I love the way the Z looks a bit more lower and I just wanna make sure what the clearance would be like because of the crappy streets we have in many parts of my country.. I'm still not sure about lowering the car anyways because I feel the car is pretty low on stock height.. Probably I would be better off just improving my handling by adding the Hotchkis swaybars and leaving the stock suspension..?? :ugh2:

I will not be tracking my Z or doing any autocross.. Probably very little drag racing once every couple of months but that's about it.. I rather have some upgrades like intake, exhaust, short shifter, pulleys, and probably a nice set of wheels/tires... This is a daily driver also..

Anyone has an idea or pictures on how would 20" wheels/tires setup would look on stock height..?? :ugh2:

FuszNissan 07-25-2009 04:45 AM

It's all personal feel and looks, if you aren't going to track the car. But be prepeared, your going to need to purchase rear carmber/toe arms and maybe adjustable caster. Then have the car realigned, which could take hours. You may think oh $500 for the springs, then after alignment and arms. you may be at 1500.00 Just food of thought. Me personally it's not worth the headache. Plus if you have crappy streets as it is, and don't track, I think you already answered your question.

I do not feel even lowering the car will be an issue. The owner of my test car beats the crap out of his. Less than 10,000 miles and the tires look like they have 60,000 on them. I also drive very aggressive and have had no issues. I feel lowering the car 1-1.5 inches will not create any issues. The only point of the entire exhaust system that is low, is the front of the rear cans.

BTW, the video with the HFC's and the cat back combo is complete. It just need to br formated and we will post it around lunch time today. We could only get interior sound clips rolling through the tunnels because there was still too much traffic. However, we made it work, we always do.

I know I have some PM's to return and I will get to them today. Please stay patient...

Thank you, Tony

azn370z 07-25-2009 11:21 AM

The 370z has 4.84 inches of ground clearance and it's been noted that the FI exhaust has 5 inch of ground clearance. So if you lower your car an inch you're looking at 3.84 inch of ground clearance.

import111 07-25-2009 11:46 AM

This pic gives a good idea of how low mine is. I think I will still be worrying about the front lip more than anything else even with the FI catback on.
