This sound is perfectly fine. It's just a flutter from backpressure I believe. Ever heard an SRT4 when they let off the gas coming up to a stoplight and it literally sounds like the car is gurggling? It's kinda the same as that, only more muffled.

Ok I figured it was normal and fine, just wanted to check. I think im too paranoid about my car haha. Thanks for your help...

:) I would have gone with those vs the HFCs. I don't think I would have been able to handle how loud they get under load.

They're actually not that loud. They aren't any drastically louder than HFCs. Especially at idle, HFC's are Louder than LTH's. Both Berk's and F.I.'s.

And in terms of sound, it doesn't so much chage the volume, but more the tone. It's a slightly higher tone due to the increased flow/rasp, but you eliminate the rasp with the Exhaust.

huh! didn't know that Chris. You are giving me a lot to think about

Ok granted, on a cold start, yes it is LOUD and proud, but after 30 seconds it quiets down, and after a minute it quiets down even less than with HFCs. It stunned me as well. But it's true. At highway speeds you barely hear it, and then when you Want to hear it (you get on it), you will. But it is not at all obnoxious or ridiculously loud as one would think. They did a very good job with these.

LOUD and proud :) it stuns me too that it quiets down less than the HFCs. I'm going to have to check it ;)

Next time I'm in Cali, I'll pull up next to someone who has HFCs and we'll do a cranking vid.

LoL If someone told me there were no gains in getting my headers, I would seriously just laugh at them. There are plenty of gains. They obviously never looked at a dyno or did a side by side run with them.

When I did my Dyno, I picked up no less than 20hp from the headers/cbe. And I'm not done yet. I still have yet to get a full intake/tune. So there's only more power to be had. Thats when you Really see the full gains of the headers is with a Tune.

The problem is you sacrifice a bit of Top End to gain in the Bottom. Sure you might not have 305hp vs 298hp but the area under the curve from before/after you gain 10+ hp in the midrange which is where its actually used. This is a plus to me. Power isn't just about the number you End at. It's about how you get there.

:iagree: about the gains from the headers. I believe FL4_Motion dynoed 330 just with the FI LTH & CBE which is pretty darn impressive!

Hey, I hear what you say about the power not being simply about the number, as long as I get there this way throughout the powerband... I'm straight

With headers you'll have some unburnt fuel in your exhaust gasses, you just have to ignite it. Those kits are basically a spark plug that you drill into the side of your tailpipe, and a small ignition coil and controller with a pushbutton wiring kit to fire up the spark plug.
