You can change my status to 370Z Roadster #1 installed! You were right, the sound is amazing in the roadster with the combination you suggested. Not too loud, zero drone, and an intoxicating roar while accelerating! I drove the car all afternoon yesterday with the stereo off, I may have to cancel my XM subscription!

I will post some pics and some sound clips to this thread in the next few days. Thanks for the advice Tony, and to anyone thinking of buying a F.I exhaust and have any questions, don't hesitate to call Tony. Great customer service and honest advice.

Tony, add me as installed to the list. Could have gone smoother but getting the stock exhaust proved to be a pain in the ***. There was one bolt that just would not budge. The sound of the exhaust was worth it in the end. Love the sound and even under nml driving I can feel there is some extra power. Have only done 2 hot/cold cycles so I haven't opened it up just yet.

Question though, I noticed after I got back from my drive that the passenger side exhaust tip sticks out past the bumper about 1cm where as the driver side tip is even with the bumper. When the car is cooled down the both recess a little which I understand is nml. Just wondering if there is a way to adj. the tips so they are even. I can post a pic if it would help. thanks

So I take it we are talking about a very minimal amount. Honestly if it as small as you say it is than I will chalk it up to shrinkage in the build process. One slighty shrinking more than the other is not common but it is possible. At this point what we can do is add one more 3 bolt gasket to the back on the driver side. That should bring it out just enough. Call me in the morning and I will get one on the way...

LOL, yeah I can be a little OCD but in my line of work (cardiology) 1cm is the difference between life and death. Trust me, when you have someone taking care of your health you better hope they are OCD.


Thanks Tony. I'm not too worried about it and honestly note sure it's worth taking it apart to put in another gasket. Can you give me a week to get used to it? If it's still bothering me I'll hit you up and see about getting another gasket. Thanks and the exhaust rocks. Can't wait to go drive today.

I think if it bothers you now, it will later on... And if the problem is as easy a fix as just adding in another gasket, and Tony's willing to chuck one your way, go for it. If it works, money... if not, at least you have a spare in the event one pops. :tup:
