My car is now at the shop for the LTH install.

I just hope he doesn't have as much problems as with the CBE install

Well he already discovered that the dealership damaged my intakes since he was taking them off so he could have more free movement. at places it look like they got pinched by something. he took pics so I will see them if he is done today.

oh yeah tony. apparently there is a difference between the american and european setup for the header install. the manual mentions something about plates being easy to take off. our plates are apparently secured amazingly solid and he was having troubles getting them off.

one side has been installed. seems like there is alot more work than expected. apparently the european version is different from the american in terms of pipes running.

He barely has any room on the side that is left to do with airco lines running he already had to mod his tools

There is zero room to work on one side even in the US version, it is usually a 6 hour install for headers.

Well this sucks.

He was working on the LTH and there is this sensor he cant remove. He tried everything to get it loose but it wont budge and he knows that it will get ruined if he tries to force it. He called the dealership for a new one in case it breaks.

450 euro which is like 500+ dollars?

he raged

Make sure he takes out the headers and cats before trying to take out the O2 sensors. Then put some penetrating lubrication on them and leave them for a day. Try again the next day and make sure you use a deep socket, not an open wrench.

Hey guys.

I was number 180 on the list and installed the exhaust the same time I installed my LTH (thanks, tardcore). Anyway, I'm here to do a quick review after a few hundred miles. Yeah, I drive a lot.

Anyway, looks wise, nothing surprising. Everyone's seen it. Looks amazing. I wasn't digging the stock look very much and now I sport a grin every time I come up to my car from behind.

Sound-wise, it's a lot quieter than I had expected, even with the headers on. I had thought they were going to be headache inducing with a ridiculous amount of drone. Well, while the first engine start up almost stopped my heart, it's pretty quiet now. It still sounds aftermarket but I barely notice it while highway cruising. There is some hiss, but I don't even notice it anymore unless I listen for it. For someone looking for a loud car, I could see 12" resonators and the lth's being ok.

Power-wise there is a good amount of power after the install. Dyno next week @ stillen. I'll post charts. Right now I've got the Fast Intentions exhaust, long tube headers, and the K&N typhoon intakes.
