How we lookin', Tony?!

Hey guys, i'm number 169 on the list. WooHoo! I'm trying to decide between the 12" and the 18". I want the exhaust to be much deeper and somewhat louder than the stock exhaust, yet i don't want it to be overwhelming in the cabin, but its hard to figure out the how much difference there is from stock to 18 and from 18 to 12. I wont be changing the headers or cats or intakes. Can anyone provide some input?

You are next in line. You should have a tracking number by mid week!

Raps: My requirements for an exhaust were about the same as yours. I got the 18"CFs, when I first installed them I thought even those might be too loud but after letting them break in for a week they have settled into a quieter, much more sporty sound, exactly what I was looking for.

mmm tony I guess that my exhaust will be done in about 2 weeks right?

Is everything else in your setup, besides the catback, stock? How much louder would you say the FI CB with 18" is than the stock setup?

18" CBE is DEFINITELY for you! It's much louder than the stock exhaust but not too loud.

I had the same concerns as you... I wanted louder than stock but didn't want too loud... the 18" is perfect. I can talk to a passenger without issue and I consistently talk to people at my office with the Bluetooth without any issue.

You won't regret it... the 18" resonators are for people like us. They fit the bill perfectly.

And like Dr. Awkward said, the exhaust is pretty loud when you first install it. After about a week of driving the muffler packing burns in and it settles down quite a bit, so don't be too alarmed by the volume at first.

This video makes the 18" sound extremely loud. Is it really this loud? My main concern is that it will overwhelm the Bose Audio system. I dont want the volume to get drowned out. I must admit this sounds wonderful outside. Will it stay this way?

It's very difficult to judge volume from a video. You really need to hear it in person. I think there are a couple people up in the NY/NJ area that have the FI CBE so maybe they'll be able to let you sample the exhaust.

I don't think it drowns out my stereo at all. Like I said, I am able to participate in conference calls using the Bluetooth in my Z and it is not a problem.

Docaam's video is pretty sweet, btw. This is my first time seeing it. "He thinks credit crunch is some sort of breakfast cereal" LMFAO!

On a scale of 1 to 10 or in terms of percentage, how much louder would you say the 18" is than the stock setup?
