Hey Tony. Sounds like you guys have been really busy and have some big things in the works. Congrats to you and your team on the success.

Thanks Tony!

I suspect I will give you that call soon!

Personal observation about

Fast Intentions. Someone made the comment that the test pipes would cause a little loss of torque. Last night, 1-2 shift (auto trans) under full throttle, I left a pair of dark, squiggley marks in the road. Can anyone help me figure out what caused this? :bowrofl:
Thanks Tony, looks like rubber investments will be in the near future. :driving:

It is funny how anyone would say that. All you need to do is look at the dyno chart and you will see that there is NO LOW END TORQUE LOSS!

In your case, I am glad that you will be eventually needing new tires! Don't burn them up too fast...

Thanks, Tony

i'm running non-res TP and non-res TDX CBE also 7AT tranny and there is nothing but gains in torque. at a flash light drag event i was spinning or chirping tire through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. none of which happened until after i added my F.I. exhaust lol

Speedy 02-17-2012 11:57 AM

Yep, I'll be going with this one too. The sound reminds me of a Ferrari. Very nice.

Hey Tony, any chance for a 3" TDX thread today?

Or should I just put the phone down and stop checking the site every 10 minutes? :D

Not today! We are a little further behind than I wanted to be by today. I am hopeful by Tuesday we can launch the thread!

I need more help! Business is booming and we are spread very thin!

Thanks, Tony

That's a good problem to have!

I still can't put the phone down though. There is an awesome tread in the classified section right now and I am stuck in a hotel.

439 Installed

Tony, I can't say enough about quality of the system, from packaging, welds, pipes, and instructions to the overall quality of the system. I have installed quite a few exhausts in my day, all laying on my back in the garage and this system was by far the easiest to install. Thanks for a great high quality system.

ccdominic 02-19-2012 04:38 PM

kind of a random question, but i'll be getting my TDX in a while, and i was wondering if anyone has taken any measures to protect their exhaust from scraping. i dont live in a lower car friendly town, and i'm dropped on swifts, and i've scraped a few times on speed bumps and such. nothing serious. maybe just the very bottom of the can seeing as they're the most likely to scrap and receive the most damage.

I try not to challenge anyones opinions unless I know for sure they are wrong. I have NEVER installed restrictions in my exhausts to make the car quicker/faster.

Are those ramps for lowered cars, how much did they set you back if you don't mind me asking? I need a set bad! :rofl2:

They are race ramps along with rollups in the back. They aren't cheap though. Around 300 for the fronts and around a 100 for the rears. Was a nice Christmas gift from the wife.
Race Ramps - Car Ramps and Trailer Ramps.

looks awesome Roadster4us!!! w00t!

I noticed you had Nismo CBE listed.. so you had that..but went to FI now? See a bump in sound quality and power?

Has anyone ever been hassled about Warranty with CBE installed?

As long as the issue can't be directly related to the CBE, it shouldn't have any effect on your warranty. Now say if in the midst of installing test pipes, you mess up the threading on your o2 sensor and you take it in to get checked out, they would say you messed it up and that specific part won't be covered under warranty. But if a steering linkage fails, they can't blame that on your CBE install. If they did, I'd just :rofl2: at them.

Sound is very different, a much louder growl which is what I wanted. Haven't driven it yet as it started snowing here in Northern VA.

I would never worry about a CBE and warranty, and I am careful with that :tiphat:

Sorry for semi off topic, but I'll throw in another recommendation for the race ramps. I have them and used them Thursday to help install the splash shields on my Z. Work great. Get the ones that separate to give more working room under the car. Not cheap but WORTH IT.

I have the 56" RR-56-2 ones.

http://www.raceramps.com/images/prod...tail/rr562.jpg

Now I just need to find a pinch weld adapter for the low profile jack.

I saw these ramps at SEMA last year, they were great. They had a bunch of different sizes for all types of applications!
