Of course I must be last on the delivery route. I've waited about 12 weeks, what's a few more hours?
The car has been on jack stands with the old exhaust out for several hours now.

I'll post some tomorrow. UPS didn't deliver it until 6pm, and it gets dark at 7 here, so I was working in the dark for awhile. Finished it though, and it sounds awesome for the little bit I cranked it up. Can't drive it much yet cause I have a spare tire on that I have to get fixed tomorrow.

I'm assuming that everyone with the FI CBE had to remove that metal shield on the passenger side near the rear bumper?

No, look at the photo in the instructions, just bend the corner away on the creased line thats already there

Glokwork 09-27-2011 07:15 PM

I've had it on over 2 weeks now, still haven't gotten the first vid recorded, been so busy. I'm going out of state for uprev this weekend, most likely next weekend I will make some and post them

I bought mine used so I ended up removing it. I will just mess with it later

Glokwork 09-27-2011 07:35 PM

Theres a fuel line right there also that you are supposed to heat wrap, I'm guessing you dont have that?

thats correct. no heat wrap.

TonyBPD 09-27-2011 08:08 PM

If anyone could be so kind as to take a pic of what I need to do with the metal shield. It would be appreciated. Fuel line looks ok btw. Drove it for about 30 minutes after the install

Its squared away now

FPenvy 09-29-2011 09:19 AM

Talked to tony last nite and i should have my tracking number today or tomorrow for order #373.

:happydance:

just a update for everyone behind me of where they are at in the building and shipping process.

MnTBlitz 09-29-2011 03:29 PM

I talked to him also and he said mine should ship out middle to the end of next week. (#376) I've already got it setup for the 15th to get it installed :excited:

edconline 09-30-2011 12:14 AM

Mine is now sitting in the GF's garage, waiting for me to get home from afghaniland to install it! $140 in fees later.... UPS FTMFL  :shakes head:

When shipping to Canada 2 important rules come to mind:
1) Never, ever use UPS as they are basically thieves
2) Always value the package at 3% or so of the real value to avoid having the buyer get raped over a stump
EDIT: Or declare as a gift

Proshop01 09-30-2011 01:59 PM

So close to mine (#380). Monday will be 2 months since order. Hopefully it ships in the next week or so.

Magnetic black ftw! Thanks man, I'm very happy with the curve and the torque is completely flat and there at all times now. The shop is full of turbo Z's and these guys are pro, I'm saving up and going turbo. Also did some tuning while driving to run on the lean side while cruising on low throttle. It worked, 3 1/2 trip back home got 26.1 mpg @ 80mph with lots of altitude increases.

Sweetness!

I just need to get a set of CAI's and then I can get a tune myself. I can't wait to get rid of the 0-60 and top speed limiters so I can finally do a dyno in 5th gear to find out where I'm at. I'm hoping for 325 at the wheels and I'll be happy.

I'm also hoping to go Turbo one day, but I think I'm gonna keep it NA until the warranty wears out and I have my aesthetic and suspension stuff done first. And the brakes. I gotta make sure it can stop before I go balls out on power. :rofl2:

The warranty is the one thing keeping me from going all out on the engine, the car is 4 months old and I'd hate to piss the entire warranty away. Unless Nissan wants to reimburse me the pro rated amount :roflpuke2: I'm very happy with my Injen's, very wet here and no problems for me and these are making the power that g3's are according to the tuner. I'm glad I didn't go g3's, I'm not a fan at all of cutting through the core supports.

Yeah here is a super dry climate as well so I'm sure I wouldn't have problems with them either. Although I bet a lot of peoples problems would be eased if they'd switch to a K&N oil filter rather than a Dry one, but oh well.

I'm debating about the Stillen intakes, and I don't want to cut anything either. But there are other companies coming out with intakes and I'm waiting to see how those look/do on the dyno before locking myself into one.

mtaxelson 10-03-2011 09:06 PM

Same run...shot with iPhone. Hopefully sound quality is better.
Let me plug R/T Tuning in Lansdale, PA for excellent work

It can't hurt to wait and who knows you might not buy any and go FI then you won't need em anyway  I'm uploading a vid of my 7th pull from the rear, the force of the exhaust gas is making the camera shake and then you can see what my wheel looks like spinning at 153mph :roflpuke2:

True, but I do want something that looks better than the stock boxes... :rofl2: And I can just sell them if I do go FI.

LoL I know the look, when they tried to do a 5th gear run for me he took it to 140 @ 6500 rpms before cutting off the power. I couldn't even get a printout.

Yep thats true and who knows I might have a turbo by then and have my black injens for sale  I was hitting the speed limiter in 5th and made 331whp, then 332.7 after raising it to 666

Yeah, audio is better but video is a bit ehh... lol

Still a good run.

I dunno why shops butt there Dyno up to a wall like that. As silly as it sounds, you want the exhaust to have somewhere to GO after it exits the muffler... :rofl2:

I'm thinking have the limiter removed, and having redline moved to 8k and see if we can pull out some higher topend...

I noticed on my graph power started to drop around 7200rpm and mine is raised to 7800rpm, so either way when I see 7k I'm going to shift. Heres a pull where you can get somewhat decent sound of the FI exhaust.
